RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the operation of Financial Lines Department to help achieve the planned objectives of the company.
• Support in product and distribution platform development and enhancements of Financial Lines products including Cyber Insurance, by providing user requirements, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and testing
• Support the handling of underwriting referrals for complex risks referred by Business Units
• Support business development and renewal activities of Financial Lines including quotations, risk acceptance and business inception
• Develop and maintain the workflow and administration of financial lines business activities
• Generate and maintain management reports as may be assigned
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned

• Tertiary education preferred
• General Insurance certifications

• At least 3 to 5 years relevant underwriting experience in an equivalent position
• Sound underwriting knowledge of various classes of financial lines insurance
• Microsoft Office Moderate to Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Powerpoint
• Knowledge of insurance systems and processes

• Perform checks on the structural, architectural and M&E materials/works to ensure that the final touch-up works are ready for inspections.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure works are in compliance with method statements (in accordance to BCA’s Good Industry Practice)
• Monitor the performance of subcontractor workers for all trades and ensure any defects are properly rectified
• Involved in preparing relevant QA/QC reports
• INvolved in implement QA/QC plans and ensure PPVC quality before delivery
• Ensure the functionality of the product before handing over to buyers
• Assist in preparing for QM submissions
• Assist in yearly ISO audits
• Assess, feedback on the construction process and procedures
• Execute quality control as per site specific materials and Works Quality Plan.
• Conduct relevant training for sub-con and internal staff.
• Issuance and handling of Site Memo.
• Monitor undertaken corrective and preventive actions against non-conformities.
• Arrange and liaise with BCA for CONQUAS/QM assessments.
• Recommends solutions for critical and/or frequent recurring defects to Project Team.
• Ensure all the method statement used has obtained approval from the clients and consultants.
• Follow-up all the required tests as per contract requirement.
• Attend regular site meetings – QAQC, Landscape Coordination Meeting and Client Meeting.
• Attend off-site inspection – Precast and Structural Steel Works (Malaysia and Singapore Factory)
• Follow the developer’s Quality Inspectors (QI) and Customer Service Officers (CSO) for inspection prior to building handover to owners.
• Attend to client ’s defects during Defect Liability Period.
• Assisting in handover of the common areas to management team.

Job Requirements:

• Min Diploma or Degree related to QA/QC or Engineering / Construction related field
• Prior experience related to construction industry (HDB, Condominium projects etc.) is added advantage
• Good knowledge of construction quality control/assurance is necessary

A. iSmart Factor

• Identify and develop plans for iSMART Factory to achieve digitization of key processes in the manufacturing operations
• Co-ordinate all resources from various departments to effectively implement iSMART factory initiatives
• Provide training where necessary to ensure systems are implemented effectively and sustained
• Provide framework and guidance for mass data analytics to ensure maximum benefits are derived from digitization process
• Coordinate and manage IT support activities

B. Technical Support

• Lead / participate in Engineering Projects as assigned and provide technical and documentation support to ensure new processes, equipment are tested, qualified and properly set up for mass production.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing to eliminate and/or reduce waste or any activity that consumes resources without adding value to operations
• Provide training to Technicians on automation, new processes or changes to processes or equipment
• Provide timely engineering support (as assigned) in failure analysis and troubleshooting to production to resolve quality/ production problem
• Develop, implement and refine assemblies and test operations through process simplification and modification to drive continuous improvement programs to reduce cost of production non-value added activitie
• Identify, develop and implement process automation programs to enhance productivity

C. Software Programs management

• Set up a system to control / maintain, properly file, manage changes and distribute all Software programs for Production and Engineering department. (include PLC programs, Robotic programs, Micro processor programs, etc)
• Perform regular audits to ensure existing program revision in use is in compliance with documented revision in the system.
