• Due diligence on prospective clients before taking up the proposals on board and at time of review which includes obtaining ACRA, D&B, status reports from banks, statements of accounts with existing banks and market reports. Checking the names with RBI defaulters list and litigations etc. against the company / directors /shareholders.
• Ensure necessary CDD / AML & CFT measures are in place in relation with promoter’s background and business, including any adverse media reports.

• Carry out screening of directors / shareholders in world compliance check and obtain KYC documents.

· Carry out credit rating of the customer as per internal rating model. Assessment of credit limits

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as clients, creditors, debtors, etc. in writing as well as business meetings
• Review financial position, conduct financial analysis and develop turnaround strategies for clients in financial distress
• Participate in business development and client relationship management
• Review and ensure completeness and quality of work and compliance of all statutory and/or regulatory requirements of the engagements
• Assist the Director in practice development matters and activities
• Coach, motivate and develop junior members within the team

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CA or equivalent professional qualification
• Able to work independently and lead in a team, manage projects and meet project deadlines
• Candidates with at least 2 to 3 years of proven and relevant insolvency experience in PAC firms will be considered for the Senior position. Candidates with more than 3 years of relevant experience may be considered for the Assistant Manager position.
• Strong business acumen and logical thinking / analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applicants by conducting in-depth credit assessments and analysing financial stability, repayment capacity, and overall creditworthiness.
• Maintain a proactive approach to addressing credit risks and delinquencies by implementing suitable remedial actions when necessary.
• Build strong relationships with SME clients, ensuring their inquiries, concerns, and requests are addressed effectively.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including credit analysts and legal staff, to ensure accurate and timely loan documentation and processing.
• Develop tailored financial solutions by gaining a thorough understanding of clients' industries, market trends, and unique business needs.
• Identify and source new lending opportunities within the SME segment through lead generation and prospecting activities.
• Oversee a portfolio of SME loans, monitoring repayment behavior, compliance with agreements, and overall loan performance.
• Guide clients through the loan application process, assisting with documentation preparation and ensuring a smooth approval and disbursement experience.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in business development for SME Loans in a financial institution or broker.
• Proven success in managing SME loan portfolios, achieving lending targets, and mitigating credit risks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish rapport with clients and stakeholders and negotiate effectively.
