- Prepare consolidation financial reports and analytical review for the group and subsidiaries

- Prepare the financial statements for the group and subsidiaries.

- Assist in the preparation of group forecast and SGX announcement and reporting – annual report, sustainability reporting etc.

- Assist in compliance related to accounting, tax, statutory & regulatory requirements

- Liaise with internal and external auditors to complete the audit.

- Liaise with bankers and other professional for any corporate exercise

- Perform any other ad hoc tasks assigned from time to time.

We are an established veterinary specialist clinic seeking an in-house accountant.

Your job scope will include:

1. Managing accounting software and migration of data

2. Filing of GST returns

3. Compile and organise accounting records such as registers, ledgers, journals and individual accounts.

4. Accrue journals and balance sheet reconciliations

5. Organise all routine registers

6. Manage the budget and carry out analysis on all the data

7. Liase with vendors for the filing of tax returns

8. Maintain end-of-year records

9. Maintain relevant spreadsheets, online databases and all accounting software

10. Assist in budget and financial reporting

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Financial Record keeping:

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and journals.

- Reconcile bank statements and accounts regularly.

- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

2. Financial Reporting:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

3. Compliance and Auditing:

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

4. Tax Preparation:

- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

- Assist with tax planning and strategy to minimize tax liabilities.

5. Financial Analysis:

- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.

- Evaluate financial performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

6. Administrative Support:

- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.

Qualifications:

- Min. 3 - 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Able to handle full set of accounts

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and other departments.

Skill Requirements：

• Have relevant working experience
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports, such as balance sheets, schedules, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Record and monitor fixed asset activities, including generating fixed asset reports and maintaining schedules and related financial tasks.
• Ensure adherence to local financial regulations and tax requirements, including preparing and submitting necessary reports.
• Comply with internal control standards, including financial and operational policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in year-end audits, preparing financial statements and notes in accordance with accounting standards and Group policies.
• Support the seamless integration of new financial accounting processes for changes like new businesses and departments.
• Engage in creating, testing, and reviewing functional requirements to enhance financial operating systems as needed.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 year of experience in accounting or finance role.
• Accounting knowledge will be added advantage
• Immediate starter is preferred
