A leading tech company is hiring a Financial Accountant (Contract) based in Singapore. This role is suited for a top-performing professional with strong Corporate Accounting experience in multinational settings. Team Structure and Reporting

You will be reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager. The team handles US GAAP reporting and closing operations across 14 APAC entities and collaborates closely with a counterpart team in Dublin, requiring occasional overlap in working hours.

Day-to-Day

This role focuses on month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP. Key duties include managing reconciliations, coordinating with vendors, and resolving issues raised during the close process. Flexibility in working hours is needed to accommodate the Dublin team’s time zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle month-end and quarter-end close processes, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and variance analysis.
• Oversee centralized processes that impact multiple APAC or international entities.
• Support the Finance team in designing, testing, and implementing financial reporting tools and processes.
• Lead and manage process improvement projects for scaling operations.
• Review work from outsourced partners to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional business partners within and beyond Finance to meet Corporate Accounting objectives, providing finance management support on ad hoc analysis or special projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Recognized accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA).
• Proven team player comfortable working with a global team across multiple locations.
• Relevant experience in a large, fast-growing multinational organization.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and APAC local GAAP.
• Proficiency in Excel, along with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent planning, analytical, and communication skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• 8+ years of experience, ideally with APAC region exposure.
• Experience using ERP systems like Oracle or SAP.
• Background in Big Four accounting firms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role holder will be responsible for Treasury function within MINDS, overseeing some Accounts Payable functions and supporting Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis in providing a reliable and responsive Financial Planning and Analysis function across the Organisation to facilitate effective decision making.The role holder will be responsible for the provision of timely, accurate, relevant management information to all levels of management and regularly reviewing this information. This will include provision of monthly reports, critical review and interpretation of results and value-add analysis.

Financial Planning and Forecast:

Support Senior Manager FP&A in:

• budget planning, forecast and review exercise across MINDS, including annual budget & workplan and mid-year review
• Ensure adequacy, timeliness and accuracy of periodic Management reports
• Participate in business cases, review assumption and financial calculations for proposals• costing and development of pricing models

Accounts Payable:

• Oversee all corporate card reporting and reconciliation process
• Oversee all petty cash claims and reconciliation process
• Provide cover for payment processing

Treasury:

• Coordinate surplus fund management in accordance to investment mandate
• Prepare cash flow analysis and forecast to facilitate operations and maximise use of surplus fund
• Liaise with banks for banking mandate

Other duties:

• Preparation of resolutions and forms for banks
• Drive system and process improvement
• Ah-hoc verification works

Degree in accountancy, ACCA or equivalent.

• Singaporean or Singapore PR only
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Independent worker with a keen eye for details.
• Strong in Excel and Experience in Oracle NetSuite is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring timely financial closing, accurate financial statements of subsidiary companies.
• Check and review monthly financial statements and audit schedules prepared by Accounts Executives to ensure accurate and complete reporting, check for validity and accuracy and ensure corrective action is taken.
• Ensure compliance with the Accounting Policies and Financial Reporting Standards.
• Liaise with the external auditors, and ensure that adequate, accurate and timely audit schedules and documents are provided to the auditors.

• Check and review GST compilation and reconciliation for quarterly GST return filing by statutory deadline.
• Internal control and system improvement. Review and recommend enhancement processes to increase efficiency and strengthening of controls, and update Finance SOPs and policies periodically to maintain a strong internal control structure.
• Any other duties as assigned by superiors.
