DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: GROUP ACCOUNTANT

As the Group Accountant, you will report to the Deputy CFO. During your employment, you are involving in the Group’s treasury, financial reporting and compliance matters, group reporting in the finance department.

Treasury

1. Handle third party payment matters, including but not limited to processing of account payable invoices, payment arrangement for vendor/authorities/bank/etc.
2. Handle intercompany transactions, including fund transfer, collection, and payments arrangement.
3. Manage bank and loan accounts and handle related administrative works, including but not limited to opening and closure of bank accounts, interest calculation, FX, cash withdrawal, bank reconciliation and related documents management.

Financial Reporting

1. Assist in financial and management reporting process, including the preparation of AP, AR, GL, journal entries and monthly/quarterly management accounts of the companies in the Group, and Group’s consolidated accounts.
2. Liaises with external and internal auditors, tax agents, bankers, corporate secretary services provider and other professionals, in connection with the Group’s financial accounting, business operation and compliance matters, and provide information required.
3. Support all audit and tax related matters including preparation of audit schedules, attend to audit and tax queries, and provide information required.

Group Reporting

1. Coordinate and support parent companies in terms of reporting, financial information, system migration and transformation.
2. Other duties and/or ad hoc projects that the finance in-charged person, and Senior Management personnel may delegate to you as needed, such as corporate finance and other tasks.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Yonyou用友 is a plus) and MS Excel and Word
• Good command of English and Chinese, as it requires to communicate and work with Chinese speaking stakeholders.

1. Revamping the Group consolidation reporting

• Assist in revamping consolidation reporting template to ensure alignment with audited financial statements disclosure and reporting requirements.

2. Revamping the OBUs’ financial reporting packages

• Assist in revamping the monthly financial reporting package submitted by OBUs to the Group to ensure alignment with consolidation template.

• Work closely with country finance managers to facilitate the achievement of this objective.

• Ensure that subsidiaries comply with Group policies and procedures, and local regulations in the areas of accounting and audit.

3. Improving the Group’s and OBUs’ financial reporting calendar

• Work closely with country finance managers to fine-tune the financial reporting calendar into a more comprehensive and systematic reporting requirements with corresponding timelines for adherence by the OBUs.

4. Implementation of new consolidation system

• Assist in implementation and rolling out of new consolidation system Cognos.

5. Others

• Any adhoc tasks or projects as required.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance related roles, of which minimum 3 years of consolidation preparation

• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

• Experience in project management particularly in new consolidation system Cognos

• Good knowledge in financial reporting standards
