About the Role

The Medical Writer and Analyst positions are ideal for those with experience in scientific research and for enthusiastic recent graduates in the sciences who are seeking the opportunity to be part of a growing team. You will be based in our Singapore office working in our Asia-Pacific team, as well as collaborating with colleagues from our UK and US teams.

Medical Writers and Analysts work on projects involving the detailed analysis of data from clinical trials and the assimilation and creative presentation of this analysis in different formats including posters, slide sets, value dossiers, reports and peer-reviewed publications. • Market Access: Market access supports timely patient access to drugs and devices, involving the assessment of clinical efficacy and safety alongside costs to determine the value of a therapy within a specific disease area. Market access activities are targeted at a wide range of stakeholders who are instrumental to the successful funding and uptake of novel therapies, such as government bodies, payers, health technology appraisal (HTA) agencies, HCPs, and patients. Our Market Access team supports a wide range of clients in producing materials to demonstrate both the clinical and economic value of some of the newest, most innovative technologies in development.   Analysts working across our Market Access services support a diverse range of value and access, HTA and health economics projects. Department Description:

The Finance Service Unit (“DFIN”) coordinates the Finance Line and ensures the Group’s financial production, steering and management via a number of complementary missions:

• support business lines, service units and general management in terms of financial and strategic steering
• ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and obligations
• ensure monitoring and steering of P&L and scarce resources performance (capital, liquidity, balance sheet) in keeping within strategic objectives and in compliance with regulatory obligations
• ensure regulatory watch on topics pertaining to scarce resources, accounting and finance.

Job Description: -

• Collaborate with banks to ensure the growth of the company's credit limits and maintain sufficient borrowing liquidity. Manage existing credit limits and determine the company's borrowing policies.
• Analyze macroeconomic conditions and potential industry growth rates, and assist the General Manager in setting the company's annual performance targets. Regularly review performance results and report to headquarters.
• Prepare and organize regular meetings for the company's board of directors, responsible for convening board members.
• Manage bad debts and overdue clients. Determine the provision for bad debts in accordance with company policies.
• Assist auditors in the annual financial statement audit process.
• Make management reports in Japanese to Japan headquarters.
• Coordinate employee relations, improve business processes and improve department daily operation efficiency.
• Other Adhoc tasks assigned by management and Japan headquarters.

Job Requirements: -

• Business-level communication skills in Japanese, including written (JLPT N1 or equivalent). The Japanese language is essential in communicating with Japanese customers and reporting to headquarters.
• Possess knowledge in finance to analyze interest rate market trends for fundraising and effectively manage asset-liability maturity matching.
• Have accounting-related knowledge to assist auditors in completing annual financial statement tasks.
• Have relevant experience in corporate performance management and annual planning, including company budget management.
• Experience in Japanese financial industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Credit Analyst reports functionally to the Credit Manager of Regional Real Asset Infrastructure APAC and locally to the Co-Head of Real Asset Infrastructure APAC, based in Singapore, with the following responsibilities:

• Credit risk monitoring and reporting of the real asset and infrastructure credit exposures in accordance with EBA guidelines with a particular attention to ESG related matters.
• Active credit risk management and responsible of all necessary credit reviews, amendments, and waivers requests.
• Review, proposal and monitoring of obligor internal ratings and limits, and their potential concentration levels.
• Review loan documentation, related legal contracts and other information covenants including financial statements and project reporting.
• Analyse the construction progress or operating performance of the assets financed.
• Perform analysis and sensitivity runs on forecasts, budget and financial models.
• Active monitoring of portfolios to identify any potential early warnings and propose relevant solutions.
• Review, discuss and monitor the watchlist clients, provisions and work out situations associated.
• Identify industry trends and assess country, market and environmental risk.
• Various ad hoc tasks & reports, papers, as requested.
• Close interaction with Origination (Coverage, Financing Sectors and IBD), Sectors Heads, Portfolio Managers and Trading/Distribution (DCS) to facilitate the client business development.
• Liaise with other departments within the bank (back office, RISQ, DFIN etc.) as well as external contacts (borrowers, facility agents, advisers ie legal, technical, valuers and insurance.)
• Full compliance with RISQ and CPLE guidelines in the conduct of business.

Profile required

Academic Background and Certifications, Experience:

• 7+ years’ experience in structured finance.
• Strong risk analysis and understanding of all structuring issues relevant for structured finance during loan’s life including risk monitoring, provisioning and work out.
• Strong fluency in financial analysis, modelling and review of legal documents.
• Strong understanding of trends in the sectors covered within APAC.
• Deep knowledge of the internal procedures and regulatory compliance coupled with a good understanding of conduct & culture values and general strategy of SG/GBIS.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or ACCA/ CPA/ CA qualified
• More than 8 years of experience in handling the full sets of accounts (specifically in managing AP and GL) in the commercial sector, good knowledge of accounting principles
• Regional exposure in MNCs required
• More than 3 years of experience in team management
• Exposure from Infrastructure, Real Estate, Property, Construction industry can be advantageous
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible, collaborative, hands-on, driven, has a positive attitude, good communication
• Able to work well in a fluid environment, willing to roll up sleeves to get hands dirty when required

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible in managing a Finance operations portfolio with a main focus in overseeing Accounts Payables (AP) and the review of General Ledger (GL), looking at process improvement and streamlining of existing AP processes. You will manage day to day operations, month-end closing, and ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial records. You will ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and statutory requirements. You will evaluate existing processes and take a proactive approach in driving process improvement and enhance efficiency.

• Support month-end consolidation close process for Best Estimates and Actuals. This includes data loading and validation, posting of consolidation journals, and preparation of management reports.

Requirements:
