The Assistant Engineer’s job scope shall include leading a team of Technical Officer(s) to perform Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), Overhaul (OH) and Engineering Support (ES) on all SMRT Thomson-East Coast Line (STEL) Trains, Depot and Workshop equipment so as to provide a safe, reliable and comfortable journey for our commuters.

Responsibilities

Your role

We are looking an Account Assistant to assist in accounting duties in the organisation.

What Will You Do

• Responsible in handling Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• To assist in cashflow planning, ensure accurate update of bank records and reconciliation.
• To assist in monthly General Ledger Journals, schedules and closing activities.
• To perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.

What Do We Need

• Possess relevant certificate in Accounting or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and bank reconciliations. Key focus is on retail customers.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.
• Generate reports for monitoring and analysis, such as AR/AP aging, expense reporting.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• GST submission/Government survey
• Assist in other accounting functions, eg, intercompany billing/Inventory control.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in SAP and intermediate Excel skills.
