Our client is a MNC company in the Environmental industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for an Accounts Officer (AR) to join their Accounts team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West – easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the company’s invoicing duties, collaborating with various departments to consolidate information for invoicing and ensuring prompt billing
• Retrieve various customers’ cheques and prepare the necessary bank deposit slips
• Update/Maintain accurate cash book records and prepare the necessary Accounts Receivable (AR) reports
• Process the company’s AR receipts, checking against the payments with issued invoices
• Reach out to customers regarding any payment discrepancies, and follow up on any overdue payments
• Generate the necessary intercompany invoices when tasked
• Record and post the necessary receipt journals into the company’s system
• Review company staff claims against company policy before proceeding with payments
• Prepare the necessary documents for company staff salaries and claims
• Prepare the required monthly debtor account statements, and distribute it to the necessary sales personnel
• Coordinate with auditors for document verification during the company’s year-end audits
• All other adhoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Accountancy or other relevant field of studies
• Minimum 2 years of relevant Accounts Receivable (AR) working experience

Invoicing:

• Generate accurate and timely invoices for services provided to clients.
• Ensure all relevant information, such as service details and pricing, is correctly documented on invoices.

Transaction Processing:

• Record and process financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments.
• Verify the accuracy of transaction details and ensure proper categorization for accounting purposes.
• Enter transactions into the company's accounting software or ERP system.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Maintenance of Accounting Records:

• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records, including invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as needed.
• Monitor and track financial transactions to support internal auditing processes

Full Sets of Accounts:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• its and ensure all financial records are accurate and accessible.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma (Accounting/LCCI) with at least 2 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable function
• Well organized, meticulous, detail oriented, good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office especially MS Excel
