A Market Leader with retail and investment footprints across Asia Pacific. Due to business needs, we are seeking committed professional to join the team as Assistant Accountant!

Budget for this role: S$4800

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the monthly and annual financial statements and financial reporting to Management.
• Review and streamline the existing accounting process, SOP and task while ensuring internal controls are adhere to.
• Review the preparation works of Accounts Executive and Accounts Officer and ensure timely, accurate month-end closing.
• Liaise with auditors.
• Prepare service agreements.
• Handle quarterly GST filing and overall tax compliance.
• Any ad-hoc duties and projects as and when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
• Good knowledge of Singapore financial reporting standards, tax and GST rules and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Independent and good team player
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem solving and analytical skills

Monday to Friday Office Hours
Salary: 3.5 - 4.5K

This position is for an experienced executive who can start immediately and commit to the Team until Nov 2024. We offer you a friendly environment where you will gain insights into the healthcare industry.

The job
You will assist the Team in:

1. Financial Management such as
• Budget and projection
• Month-end closing activities and reports
• Accrual of income and expenses
• Monthly P/L reports with commentaries
• Review balance sheet schedules to resolve outstanding items
• Check IT invoices for validity before preparing for payment
• Business partnering eg, advising departments in financial matters, policies and procedures
• Participate in implementation of budgeting system

2. Group Treasury such as
• Prepare:
o Cash flow projections
o Board paper with cash flow statement
o Monthly journals and schedules
o Cash and Investment Segmentation Report (CISR)
• Ensure sufficient funds for payments and prepare the funds transfer instructions
• Maintain bank accounts, bank signatories and related documentation

Requirements:

- Min Degree in Accountancy / Business / completed ACCA
- Min 5 years relevant experience at Executive level
- Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, Word and SAP skills

• Preparing quotations, issuing tax invoices, submission of e-invoicing on client’s portal.
• Handling disbursement of expense claims procedure and documents
• Monitoring payment status and preparing statements of accounts to clients.
• Liaising with external consultants on month-end closing activities and prepare account booking documents
• Other ad hoc accounting duties as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience
• Relevant educational backgrounds on accounting qualifications
• Proficient in MS Office / Excel and prior experience with accounting software
