The Memory Aging & Cognition Centre (MACC) is a Research Center within the National University Health System funded by the Singapore National Medical Research Council that focuses on the study of dementia and cognitive impairment in the elderly. The Research Assistant/Associate who will play a key role in assisting in the development, execution and analysis of research aimed at addressing the challenges of training and operating in rising ambient temperatures. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary group comprising exercise and thermal physiologists, data scientists, biomedical engineers and researchers. We are looking for a highly motivated and competent research assistant to work on research focusing on peptide crystallization as a versatile platform technology for delivering biocompatible nanomaterials. The successful candidate will help with lab management and support ongoing research activities.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

a. Lab safety, ordering, and lab management (30%)

• To serve as a lab safety lead.
• To be responsible for lab ordering.
• To organise chemicals and consumables in the lab and update the inventory.
• To create and review standard operation protocols (SOPs) and risk assessments (RAs).

b. Research tasks (70%)

Qualifications
