Responsibilities

• Provides support to the General Manager in daily administrative tasks.

• Respond and resolves administrative requests and inquiries.

About this role

This role is for a position of Horticulturist on behalf of another project construction and implementation team. You are required to have the following qualifications:

1. Degree/Diploma in the field or discipline of Botany, Horticulture or Arboriculture; or

2. WSQ Diploma in Landscape Management; or

3. NParks Certified Practicing Horticulturist (CPH); or

4. International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Arborist (optional).

Scope of work and responsibilities

The scope of work and responsibilities for this role are:

5. To plan, lead, implement and manage a softscape planting programme within a site construction master programme to ensure a safe and successful completion of contract works.

• Provide support to the contract manager
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities which involves quantity take-off, materials sourcing, measuring and estimating costs used in the tendering process.
• To do cost comparison.
• Ensure contract quantities and VOs are up to date for awarded projects and cost benefit analysis.
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
• Manage resolution of contractual claims of a wide variety of projects from per-tender to post-contract stage.
• Assist in handling and managing all cost aspects of interior design and project management from inception to completion.

Requirements

• Candidate with at least 1 - 2 years of experience within a Design & Build or similar working environment as a Quantity Surveyor are welcome.
• Preferably specialized in fit out / Interior Design or equivalent.
• Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Experienced in large commercial / corporate office fit out projects for new build and renovations.
• Previous experience of delivering projects with an understanding of challengers faced in terms of skill in time, cost and quality control and how to overcome them and exceed expectations.
• Knowledge in MS Office including Excel, Word and Power Point.
• Knowledge of MEP will be advantageous.
• Familiar with Gebiz tender process (May required).
