About EDB
The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), a government agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, is responsible for strategies that enhance Singapore’s position as a global centre for business, innovation, and talent. We undertake investment promotion and industry development, and work with international businesses, both foreign and local, by providing information, connection to partners and access to government incentives for their investments. About Conglomerates division
The Conglomerates division engages large multinational companies with diversified business interests such as electronics, retail, industrial solutions, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), healthcare, agribusinesses etc. As these conglomerates operate in a variety of industries, you will work closely with various teams in EDB to provide solutions to these conglomerates in order to facilitate their investments in Singapore that are aligned with our economic development needs. As the main point of contact in EDB for these conglomerates, you will develop and execute strategies to ensure that they can pursue new opportunities and partnerships from Singapore, in order to address their ambitions in the global and/or regional markets. In the process, you will also build knowledge in the industries that the conglomerates operate in.
You will report to an Assistant Vice President in the Division.
[What you will be working on]
Account Management
Serve as the main point of contact from EDB to a portfolio of identified conglomerate corporate clients and oversee end-to-end process of account development, project negotiation and execution, and client servicing
Cultivate strategic relationships and build trust with key company executives
Develop deep understanding of clients’ multi-faceted needs and operations to implement and execute coherent client engagement strategies
Identify, negotiate and structure project opportunities to secure “win-win” outcomes for clients and Singapore
Collaborate with other teams in EDB as well in other parts of the Singapore Government for project development and smooth execution of end-to-end account management process
Market Analysis
Build sound understanding of multiple industry and business trends
Lead and undertake initiatives or thematic analysis that are relevant to Conglomerates
Pre-empt common issues faced by clients or that may potentially impact them, and recommend and implement solutions
Provide input where relevant to appropriate teams in EDB and/or rest of Singapore government on policies or product/ service development (e.g. in incentive design, resource negotiation)

Ability to analyse in-depth different complex issues and put forth actionable solutions
Keen sense of business acumen and experience in project management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken; including ability and experience in engaging stakeholders within EDB and externally
Self-motivated and positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a team player
