Purpose of the post

The Research Assistant will be responsible for, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator and study team members to ensure the successful completion of the study on time. The Research Assistant’s principal role will be to work in general practices such as wet-laboratory experiments, data collections and analysis, including related safety & health performances.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Assistant will report to the Principal Investigator to,

1. Oversee the general management of the project;
2. Undertake the day to day running of the project; Provide wet-laboratory and data analysis support to the project, e.g., development and troubleshooting of bioinformatics pipelines for application in next-generation sequencing data analysis, etc.;

Qualifications

The applicant should:

1. have a first degree with good results or holds a Bachelor degree in life sciences, biotechnology or related disciplines;

3. have knowledge of computer applications, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., MS Excel, MS Words, MS PowerPoint);

Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain .NET-based containerized applications.

· Write clean, scalable code using C# programming language and .NET frameworks (e.g., ASP.NET Core, MVC).

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

· Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing software applications.

· Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards.

Requirements:

· Experience with web development frameworks such as ASP.NET Core or MVC.

· Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

· Familiarity with databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (Entity Framework).

· Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).

· Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication skills.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· Proven experience as a .NET Developer or similar role

Job Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation (AP, AR and GL)

- Perform accounts reconciliation to resolve discrepancies

- Manage and monitor cash flows statements

- Prepare financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and assist in budgeting exercises

- Participate in financial audit

- Review and implement financial policies and procedures

- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations (e.g GST, Charity Accounting Standards, etc)

- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters pertaining to audit, grants and financial reporting

Job Requirements:

- Diploma / Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent relevant qualifications

- Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience; preferably with experience in social services sector

- Proficiency in use of accounting softwares (e.g QuickBooks)

- Familiar with Singapore Charity Accounting Standards & Corporate Governance (Social Service)

- Attention to detail and able to work under pressure

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers to promote and sell products, ensuring excellent customer service throughout.
• Offer tailored product recommendations by understanding customer preferences and specific needs.
• Handle weekly stock replenishment and inventory counts to keep products well-organized and available.
• Uphold housekeeping standards across the store and counters to create a welcoming shopping environment.
• Stay updated on product information to answer customer queries accurately and confidently.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a seamless shopping experience for all customers.

Oversee the daily operations of the outlet for efficient operations.

Oversee both front and back of house operations

Assist in training of new employees as well as the continuous training of existing staff

Provide exceptional customer service and lead staff to do the same

Respond to customer complaints quickly and resolve them effectively

Plan and assign daily workloads to team members.

Plan team members’ work schedules and compile timesheet

Report on management regarding sales results and productivity
