We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Sales Manager to lead and drive our corporate sales efforts in the higher education and academic library sectors. What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the development and execution of the corporate sales strategy, focused on expanding Booksmart’s presence in the higher education and academic library sectors
• Drive revenue and profit growth in this key business area
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with university libraries, academic institutions, and educational organizations to ensure continued success and expansion
• Identify new business opportunities while fostering existing client relationships to maximize sales potential and secure repeat business
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to enhance product offerings and improve customer satisfaction
• Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to ensure Booksmart remains well-positioned in the evolving market
• Provide regular sales performance updates, market insights, and business progress to senior leadership.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
• At least 5 years’ of relevant experience and proven success in corporate sales, ideally within the higher education, academic library, or publishing sectors
• Knowledge of the Asia-Pacific higher education and academic library market is highly desirable
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a sales team to achieve ambitious targets
• Targets-driven with demonstrated success in sales strategy development and execution
• Excellent relationship-building skills, particularly with senior decision-makers and academic stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

What We’re Looking For:

• A professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in operating Dry Bulk vessels, from mini bulkers to supramax.
• Expertise in overseeing vessel operations, including laytime calculations, agency coordination, bunker planning, and optimizing vessel and port performance, all while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Proven ability to handle operational challenges such as cargo damage, shortages, BLs, LOIs, and bunker lifting issues with confidence and strategic thinking.
• A proactive approach to operating voyages and time charters (spot and contract) for key clients, while building strong and lasting relationships.
• A collaborative mindset, working with internal and external stakeholders to drive performance improvements and cost-efficiency (including fuel optimization and supply strategies).
• A focus on continuous improvement, developing performance reports that drive actionable insights, and contributing to process innovation to establish industry benchmarks in customer service and operational excellence.
