Position: Asst Programme Co-ordinator
To coordinate, liaise, facilitate and execute programmes according to the scheduled activities for members.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Supervision by Senior/Programme Coordinator
· Daily supervision, monitor and assist members in the various Centre activities (outdoor or indoor)
· Participate in the training/teaching of members in the areas of:
. Daily Programme activities
. Functional and daily living skills
. Behaviour and social skills
· Dignifying members by allowing them to make their own choices.
· Work with member’s families as required.
· Work with volunteers on the daily delivery of programmes for members (provide guidance to volunteers where needed).
· Organise and coordinate outings with volunteers, for members.
· Prepare the Centre for the various daily activities.
· Maintain administrative work such as daily attendance taking for members, record of daily programmes, meals/general expenses claims, etc.
· Purchase and preparation of daily tea-breaks and lunch for members.
· General house-keeping of Centre and all equipment/ items.
· Actively participates in the day-to-day operations according to the Catholic Church’s Social Teachings.
Qualification
· O/A level/Diploma or ITE in Community Care & Social Services course or equivalent.
Knowledge & Experience
· Some experience with persons with intellectual disabilities is preferred.
· Ability to plan, meet deadlines.
· Good communication skills.
· Able to motivate and encourage persons with intellectual disabilities.
· Team player.
