RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position is for Centre for Global Education & Opportunities (GEO).
• Stakeholder Management
  • Develop and manage relations with partner universities through regular communications.
  • Facilitate annual placement projection and negotiation exercise with partner universities.

  • Plan and execute events such as SMUs Study Abroad Fair and other student outreach and programme publicity initiatives, as well as orientation and farewell activities for inbound/outbound students.

Professors/Associate Professors/Assistant Professors (tenure-track) will contribute to undergraduate or post-graduate teaching and conduct research in their fields. They will also be involved in projects or events organised by the Yong Pung How School of Law or its research centres including the Centre for Commercial Law in Asia (CCLA), the Centre for AI and Data Governance (CAIDG), Centre for Computational Law (CCLAW), and the Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy (SIDRA).

Professors/Associate Professors: Tenured positions for academics with international reputation for their research and teaching, as well as leadership roles in their fields.

Assistant Professors: Entry-level, tenure-track positions for junior academics. The first contract is for a four-year period and assistant professors are supposed to apply for tenure before the end of the second four-year contract.

Candidates for assistant professors must possess 1) postgraduate degrees in law from reputable universities. Holders of graduate degrees in other disciplines or current lecturers/assistant professors in other jurisdictions will be considered if they possess outstanding publication records. 2) Applicants should also have three substantive publications (published or accepted for publication), preferably in leading international academic journals.
