About Corporate Audit
The mission of Corporate Audit is to be a beacon of good governance, instilling confidence through professional assurance and advisory services. Corporate Audit provides independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve EDB's operations. We assist EDB management and the Audit Committee in identifying, avoiding, and mitigating risks by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls and governance processes.
[What you will be working on]
As our intern, you will be required to/your deliverables are:
Deploy data analytics as part of the risk assessment analysis performed during the audit planning and scoping stage.
Perform data analytics with the use of suitable tools, to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of key controls during audit fieldwork. Deploy data visualisation tools to present analysis derived from data analytics performed during audit fieldwork stage.
Execute audit programs to appraise effectiveness of internal controls in managing risks.
Assist in the preparation of audit reports to present the analysis of audit issues to line management. Work closely with line management to develop action plans to remediate audit issues.
Support Corporate Audit’s continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data analytical capabilities.
Assist in consultancy engagements to promote good internal control practices, corporate governance and risk management.
Enhance the organisation’s corporate governance through value-added audit activities. Take on an advisory role by partnering colleagues from other business units to add value and improve the organisation’s governance, risk management and control processes.

Hands-on experience in internal audit processes, risk assessment, and control evaluation within a dynamic organization.
Opportunity to apply and enhance internal audit skillsets, including data analytics, risk assessment, report writing etc.
Development of critical soft skills including effective communications skills, stakeholder management and project management.
[What we are looking for]
Penultimate year undergraduates/ students currently pursuing a degree/ diploma in Business / Finance/ Accounting or a related field.
Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau/Power BI/ACL/Python) will be an advantage.
Keen attention to details and willingness to learn and hone internal audit and risk controls skillsets.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and enjoys interaction with multiple stakeholders.
