Responsibilities:

• Required to perform basic safety and health functions in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations.

• Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes.

• Implement reasonably practicable measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at work in that workplace or may be affected by the Contractor’s undertaking in the workplace.

• Implement reasonably practicable measures to minimize the risk and safe work procedures to control the risk.

• Support the construction team and work together with the contractors in leading in the implementation of the Board’s WSH strategies and objectives.

• Implement the measures and safe work procedures.

• Issue safety instruction in writing to Contractors for non-compliances to safety procedure and follow up on the necessary actions.

• Attendance of project safety meetings, review safety measures and recommend safety enforcements.

• Other administrative duties and ad-hoc assignments as required.

• Accommodating with minimal night work and on weekends, as and when required.

Requirements:

• Shall complete the relevant training courses approved by the Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health.

• 5 years of practical experience as WSHO in engineering construction industry.

• Have relevant experience in the safety, health, environmental, and security role in projects of similar scale and complexity, and familiar with water reclamation plant projects in Singapore.

• PUB Project experience is an added advantage

Job Scope:

• Develop and implement effective safety management systems, including preventive measures and risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents
• Execute workplace safety, health, and environmental programs and initiatives
• Compile and maintain safety records, reports, and documentation related to safety matters
• Enforce safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Prepare and submit safety reports, conduct necessary audits, and assist in safety certifications
• Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to ensure facilities and equipment are safe and in good working condition
• Provide training and awareness programs for employees on safety practices and procedures
• Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in a safety-related field
• Experience with ISO documentation and audits
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
• At least 3 years of registration as a WSHO with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of WSHO experience in the construction industry
• ECO and ECMO licenses are advantageous

Job Description:

1. Provide administrative support which include:

• Updating the various databases & training records.
• Liaising with community partners for community service opportunities, probationer’s progress and documents.
• Liaising with external stakeholders to coordinate learning opportunities for staff.
• Preparing relevant community service documents for probationers and agencies.
• Managing specified documents (e.g. training feedback form) through online platforms and directing the relevant information to respective departments.
• Tracking of probationer’s progress on community service and supporting relevant officers to ensure probationers completes their required number of hours ordered by the Court for community service.
• Updating the casefiles in the online case management system.
• Preparation of onboarding schedules for new officers.
• Preparation for regular and ad-hoc training (eg. Logistics, administrative support, outlook invites).

2. Support in digitalisation of training / Design engaging and visually appealing event/training Electronic Direct Mailers (EDM) to promote event/trainings.

3. Support and collaborate with the PD team in drafting emailers to encourage/assess staff training nominations and participation.

4. Support in the planning and execution of special/ group projects with partners.

5. Assist in the planning and execution of engagement and appreciation events.

Job Requirements:
