• Marine Engineering qualification or equivalent.

• Certificate of Competency as Marine Engineer Officer Class 1 (Motorship) or equivalent.

Work Experience:

• At least one year experience in Senior Engineer rank with good knowledge of ISM, Class and regulatory requirements.

• Have relevant experience working on VLCC and Gas carriers with latest engines of MAN B&W and MHI UEC engines, submersible cargo pumps and deep knowledge on cargo plant and deck machinery maintenance as Senior Engineer.

• Good technical knowledge and diagnostic acumen from above experience to guide and support ships daily operations and coordinate promptly with shore team and owners to ensure safe operation.

• Experience and good knowledge on electrical and automation system, BWTS and EGCS, especially working on Japanese built ships would be an added advantage.

• Good negotiation and communication skills to deal with vendors and yards.

• Good people management skills.

• Able to multi-task and be a team player.

• Drydocking experience an added advantage.

• PMS experience and management of Shipnet software is an added advantage.

We are currently working with an agri-food business looking to hire a Regional HRBP to be based in Singapore.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Strategic Contribution:Assist leaders in identifying, aligning, prioritizing, and building organizational capabilities, structures, and processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
   Facilitate and promote alignment within the BU leadership team, ensuring stakeholder buy-in for the delivery of its vision, mission, strategy, and plans.
   
2. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:Clearly communicate HR and business strategies, engaging others with a forward-looking perspective.
   Manage resistance, objections, and conflicts during conversations firmly, respectfully, and empathetically.
   
3. Performance Management:Collaborate with business leaders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior roles aligned with business strategy and objectives.
   Cascade KPIs and communicate performance ratings effectively.
   
4. Employee Advocacy and Change Management:Act as an employee champion and change agent, identifying challenges to workforce performance, people investment, and HR initiatives.
   Implement solutions to address these challenges for the benefit of both the business and employees.
   
5. Collaboration and Best Practices:Partner with HRBPs and cross-functional teams, including Total Rewards, Talent Development & Engagement, Organizational Development, and Talent Attraction, to develop and deliver best practices within the business unit.
   
6. HR Operations and Compliance:Propose and establish the BU HR operating and resourcing structure, aligning it with organizational objectives and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
   
7. Leadership and Goal Translation:Lead the team in translating business strategy into annual performance goals and departmental objectives.
   Provide coaching and guidance to subordinates.
   

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Human Resources or a relevant discipline.
• 8-10 years of work experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
• Significant experience in senior broad-based HR partnering, particularly in international commercial and matrix organizations.
• Business partnering experience within the APAC region.
• Prior experience in manufacturing and/or FMCG industries is advantageous.

Requirements

• Experience of derivative product characteristic, including structure of products, valuation/pricing information associate with the products
• Knowledge with vanilla product and derivatives and understand the general market practice
• Understand the basic concept of valuation/pricing approach of vanilla and derivatives
• Knowledge in market data
• Experience with scripting language, i.e. Python or Excel Macro
• Master in Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance or CFA will be a great plus

Responsibilities

• Principle duties are collecting functional requirements from stakeholders, and able to document and explain the requirements to development and QA team
• Facilitate requirements workshops to engage the various stakeholders such as Front Office, Middle Office, Finance users to elicit and validate business requirements.
• Lead and manage issues during UAT/Sprints, and ensure all requirements have proper traceability.
• Leverage the subject matter experts in Technology & Operations in delivery of structured and well-thought through solutions.
• Become an effective “bridge” between business users and technology.
• Good team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Respond promptly to issues raised, through good understanding of business, operational and technical considerations, and recommend sound solutions.
