Drive End-to-End Project Delivery

PURPOSE:

The Legal Counsel is to provide assigned business units with legal advice, to provide legal support to business activities and any strategic and operational matters and issues. This will include but not be limited to providing legal advice, legal support and contract review in respect of all contractual transactions (including but not limited to regional tenders, bids and all contract management related matters. The Legal Counsel shall be part of the Asia Pacific Legal Team and shall provide legal advice and support on any projects and tasks assigned by the General Counsel (General Manager Legal) or designated team leader / supervisor. The Manager/Senior Manager (equivalent to Technical Superintendent/Senior Superintendent) will actively lead an on-shore and off-shore team to deliver high quality, innovative, sustainable solutions to the customer with complete responsibility for safe and cost-effective management of the vessels assigned.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Technical Management / Operations

· Accountable for vessel inspection and ensure the ships condition and maintenance standards adhere to organisation procedures

· Ensure all maintenance is performed to a high standard and as per manufacturer’s recommendations

· Prepare specifications and evaluate tenders

· Supervise daily operational activities of all assigned vessels

· Advise Line Manager on a regular basis about vessel operation, budgetary performance and any untoward incidents on vessels in the fleet

Regulatory/Legislative Statutory Compliance

· 100% compliance with International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Flag State and Port State rules and regulations

· Maintenance of ship certificate and survey status at all times keeping track of renewals and placement on board vessels.

Financial Management

· Maintain, monitor and report budgets for all vessels under charge. Work closely with Technical staff, purchasing and finance controllers to ensure budget is within the agreed variables/targets *(current target 3% variance)

· Support reporting manager to plan “Operating Budget” for all vessels under charge.

· Responsible for planning and execution of all dry-docking activities within the allotted budget limits

· Ensures a safe & compliant working environment is provided to all off-shore employees by demonstrating a complete and accurate understanding of the health & safety policies and practices of the organisation

· Responsible for corrective action being implemented to remedy safety hazards or risks and restore a safe working environment on board vessels. Escalate to Manager in the event of the hazards/risks exceeding authority limits provided in the role

• Keeping a close connection with the real estate market through a network of developers, agents and consultants to size up potential new business opportunities for FPS.
• Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities through the formulation of well-thought out and comprehensive business plans to originate new areas of growth for FPS.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Degree in Real Estate, Business or Finance
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in related field
• Proficient in Financial Modelling
• Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Excellent analytical, oral communication and writing skills
• Independent, resourceful
• Passion for excellence and keen sense of curiosity of the Singapore property market
• A good mix of quantitative and qualitative analytical skills set, coupled with a team playerwith strong interpersonal skills

About the role

Amberdale Asset Management is seeking an experienced HR and Admin Manager to join our dynamic team in the One North Central Region. In this full-time, strategic position, you will be responsible for overseeing all human resource and administrative functions, ensuring the smooth operation of our thriving business.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and best practices to support the company's growth and goals
• Overseeing the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and offboarding
• Managing payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with relevant employment legislation
• Providing expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
• Maintaining comprehensive HR records and generating reports as required
• Coordinating office management and administrative functions to optimise efficiency and productivity
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing innovative solutions
• Providing full secretarial support to the Managing Director

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (7+ years) in a generalist HR and/or administrative management role, ideally within a professional services or financial services environment
• Excellent knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and payroll administration
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Proficiency in HR information systems and MS Office suite
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
