What you’ll do

• As a Business Analyst you will be working together with the client-dedicated team, and will be at the intersection of the company's Product, Marketing, QA and Engineering teams contributing to the overall design, optimisation, execution and accuracy of the program.
• You will Lead requirements gathering workshops with the client and:
• Document the client requirements in a structured manner as a backlog
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify risk and get the work items effort estimated
• Support the product and tech teams throughout the design, implementation and testing
• Lead, when required, product demo and training sessions with the client business teams and customer support teams
• Become the SME on the Ascenda product feature set as deployed for the client
• Take responsibility for the agreed client requirements to be considered as part of product feature enhancements, client custom enhancements (client-specific change requests) and broader future project phases.
• Support the BAU release management process by capturing and documenting all client requirements in accordance to Ascenda standard practices
• You will ensure client project documentation processes are adhered to with regards to the discovery and detailed design of the functional requirements.
• Support the QA team in the preparation, review and communication to the client of the project test strategy and test cases for SIT & UAT phases and support the teams during the SIT and UAT phases
• Work with the locally dedicated team to support our client and program engagement
• Supporting the Marketing Manager with end to end Campaign design, delivery and testing
• Supporting Analytics / BI teams by understanding and capturing future data & reporting requirements and working with the Business Intelligence team on delivering accurate reports and training to the end-users
• Supporting the management of incidents with the client and internal teams, ensuring the support is adhering to the agreed service levels and tracking to implementation of permanent counter measures.

Job requirements

What we are looking for

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Banking, Technology, Payments or similar industry.
• You are a generalist who cracks any and every problem with creative solutions
• You have experience leading and delivering solution designs with detailed requirements gathering and documentation, always with a view to keeping the understanding simple and contextual for others to follow
• You are comfortable with backlog grooming and prioritisation exercises to guide for efficiencies within releases and the product roadmap
• You are able to pull data (basic SQL & Excel), monitor & analyse campaign results, develop insights and put together compelling presentations for internal and external customers
• Areas of previous experience we are looking for:
• Gather detailed client requirements in client facing meetings and workshops
• Writing acceptance criteria to support Test Cases
• API executions, Batch files and data extract specifications
• Working with data sets, SFTP setup and file transfer flows
• Logical campaign setup rules, BI reporting
• Experience in working with Jira, Confluence, Google suite, Microsoft (Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Visio)
• Strong attention to detail, the ability to pinpoint possible problem areas
• Have a strong ability to multitask and effectively prioritise your responsibilities
• Exceptional written and oral communicator with experience pulling together efficient and client-friendly reports and presentations
• A team player that can engage in debate & drive consensus, and also give & take constructive 360 feedback
• You are curious by nature and enjoy understanding how things work across teams, departments and geographies.

Job Description

1. Report to the Ship Repair Manager on all task and projects assigned to him.
2. Coordinate and oversee ship repair projects assigned from start to completion and ensure the efficient allocation of resources and completion of tasks within planned time frame.
3. Carry out Risk assessment on all repair jobs and mitigate all risk to ensure safe working environment
4. Collaborate with various team to develop detailed repair plans, including work scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements
5. Identify bottleneck and make contingency plan to alleviate any delay
6. Record all work done for the project and advise Ship Repair Manager of all works carried out including those additional and variation works.
7. Develop positive working relationship with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business
8. Complement Ship Repair Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for clients during ship repair projects, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or inquiries
9. Coordinate with client, procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of necessary materials and equipment for repair tasks
10. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce
11. Conduct daily VSCC and production meeting for ongoing repair projects
12. Any other duties as assigned by the Ship Repair Manager from time to time

Job Requirement

1. Bachelor Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture or Ship Science, or Equivalent;
2. Experience in ship repair management, preferably in a shipyard or maritime environment
3. Strong project management skills with proven track record of successfully executing ship repair projects on time and within budget
4. Good understanding of budgeting and reporting
5. Solid understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and best practices in ship repair
6. Proficient in MS Office
7. Proficient in using shipyard-specific software and project management tools
8. Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates
