The Manager, Marketing & Communications is part of the Sales & Marketing Team in the hotel. He or she manages the marketing communications function to ensure the brand image of the hotel property is upheld and achieves maximum awareness for the hotel, through driving publicity and marketing to the target audiences. He or she will report directly to the General Manager.

Job Responsibilities

The duties include the following:

• Oversee the planning, development and implementationof all marketing strategies and activities of the Hotel and F&B programming, to uphold image and brand positioning within the marketplace and the general public
• Manages the advertising, promotions, public relations, partner and channel marketing, loyalty marketing, campaign management, digital and new media development, social media engagement, F&B and events management
• Manage the budget of the hotel’s marketing and programmes, monitor progress, ensure adherence and evaluate performance to meet financial objectives

• Ensure that alcoholic drinks are served in accordance with the state and local laws, ordinance, rules and regulations.
• Know how to use bar equipment efficiently and safely.

• Prepare drinks promptly.
• Accommodate taste preferences of individual guests.
• Keep control of the cash (if any), alcohol storerooms and other limited access areas.

• Make entries in the Bar Logbook.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

•Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances, providing regular reports and insights to the commercial team.

•Develop appropriate policies and procedures including SOP’s for assigned processes and take lead for certain common process across the group (insurance, payroll, cross-charges, etc.)
