Strategic Planning:
· Work closely with fee-earners to understand their business objectives and formulate effective business development strategies to overseeing the execution of the plans
· Contribute to the development of ongoing maintenance of an action oriented business development plan for the relevant practice areas and industry groups
· Manage the BD budget of the assigned groups
Client Relationship Management, Target Relationships and Leads Generation:
· Maintain client and target relationship plans for relevant practice areas and firm wide industry groups
· Drive / catalyse fee earner targeting, contacting and follow up (against targeting plans)
· Identifies and follows through on leads from thought leadership events and initiatives
· Provides support on client care initiatives
· Liaises with trade associations with which the organization can partner to promote thought leadership initiatives, for leads generation purposes
Bids and Proposals Management:
· Work on Bids and Proposals to support and advise on best practice
· Management of Bids and Proposals from end to end
· Work with global offices to produce Bids and Proposals materials
Skills:
· Identify Associate development needs in relation to business development and marketing
· Provide coaching/training to support the development of the Associates’ business development skills
Develop a Knowledge of the Markets and Industries:
· Use sector market research, trade press and fees/client analysis to assist in planning and identifying issues to be exploited for marketing purposes
· Produce supporting market and client information
· Undertake competitor analysis
· Demonstrates understanding and/or steep learning curve of the nature of industries and practice areas of the firm
Marketing Management, Thought Leadership Support and Digital Marketing:
· Initiates ideation of thought leadership initiatives with event owners and thought leaders based on industry, legal and regulatory trends
· In support of the marketing plan, drive activities such as thought leadership campaigns, PR, sponsorships, knowledge based marketing, website content, hospitality and seminars in order to generate enquiries, build profile and develop client relationships
· Coordinate role and activities with other Business Groups/jurisdictions and draw upon specialist skills of the central marketing team
· Initiate internal communications in order to increase referrals from, and to, other parts of the firm
· Proposes business development and marketing vehiclse, in collaboration with marketing colleagues, to execute and promote thought leadership content
· Initiates collaboration with events services provider to execute events, which are sources of leads generation funnels
· Conceptualizes and edits videos to convey thought leadership content, whether singly, or in collaboration with marketing colleagues

Work Experience
At least 2 to 4 years of working experience in a business development, marketing or communications role, preferably in a professional services or financial services firm
