The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have the following:

1. A recognised Diploma or Bachelor degree in IT or a related field.

2. At least 3 years of work experience in software development and maintenance support.

3. Proficient with IT fundamental knowledge like servers, networks, application architecture and database

4. Hands-on experience handling medium/large scale IT systems with multitier architecture

5. ITIL v3/v4 certification is preferred

The role of the Senior Assistant Director, Resource Personnel (RP) is to support the Research Entity (RE)/ Principal Investigators (PIs) in managing the processes related to the management of core and non-core funding including budgeting, proper cost allocation and charging, making quarterly projections, making grant requisitions, liaising with the auditors of the grants, and submitting the requisite reports as required within the terms and conditions of the grants and reporting on the utilisation. In addition, the RP will support general RE administration. The SAD will also supervise 2 staff.

Job description:

• Be a strategic partner and support the key stakeholders on management of budgets and grants to ensure progress and sustainability of the institute
• Manage fund requisitions, audits and reconciliations of expenses
• Provide timely reporting, projections and tracking of budget and expenses
