This position presents an excellent opportunity for a Strategic Business Partner who possesses exceptional communication skills to connect with diverse and influential teams. The ability to quickly establish strong relationships with stakeholders is essential in order to deliver exceptional customer service to our teams in Singapore, India, and Australia.
We are open to hiring someone for this 7-month contractual role in either a full-time or part-time capacity.
Principal responsibilities and tasks:
- Strategic advisor: Act as a trusted advisor to the executive and their leadership team. Utilize a deep understanding of HR knowledge and the organization to provide insights and guidance on strategic decisions. This includes developing talent acquisition strategies, implementing workforce planning, and initiating activities to enhance employee engagement.
- Problem Solver: Identify and address complex workforce challenges. Whether it's resolving conflicts between departments or creating innovative solutions for talent retention, this role serves as the primary problem solver within the business unit.
- Driving Alignment: Ensure alignment of all members within the business unit by working closely with the People team and the leadership team. Collaborate to align HR strategies with broader business goals, fostering a unified and purpose-driven workforce.
- Project/HR initiative delivery: Collaborate closely with the HR Transformation Director to contribute to the design of allocated HR initiatives. Successfully implement HR initiatives within the business unit, such as performance management, talent planning and management, and career development support. Ensure leaders are equipped with the necessary skills within their respective teams.
- Continuous improvement: Persistently review and provide feedback to enhance efficiency and improve the employee experience. This may involve participating in the design of leadership development programs or identifying bottlenecks within HR processes.
- Mentor Coach: Nurture talent within the People team and across Civica. Mentor emerging HR professionals, aiding in their growth as future strategic partners. Additionally, coach people managers on effective leadership and people management practices.
- Independent Leader: While working closely with the People team, maintain a degree of independence to offer unbiased perspectives. Ensure that HR initiatives are aligned with the organization's best interests.
- Change Management: Participate in the development of change management plans and deliver training, communication, and support mechanisms to facilitate change and transformation processes. Promote cross-functional collaboration through a change strategy that empowers employees to take ownership, establishes agile practices, and encourages continuous learning and improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR with experience in a similar role, providing strategic and operational guidance to leaders
- Strategic thinking and leadership capabilities
- Previous experience in implementing HR and people-centered initiatives and programs, with strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong knowledge of fundamental HR processes
- Demonstrated track record of providing professional HR generalist advice, including employee relations, change management, and performance management
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt and analyze data to address business issues
- Exceptional attention to detail
