• As coordinator, you will work with the Program manager to support the overall PMO for our multiple existing and future collaborations
• Coordinate internal groups in the Firm to shape our next partnership collaborations
• Ensure tight coordination of quarterly steering committees where the relevant groups will demonstrate progress, and track adherence to the KPIs, flagging any discrepancy ahead of time, and helping to find suitable solutions.
• Ensure compliance of our reporting obligations and audit for the various collaborations
• Audit preparation and documentation; computation of grant disbursement with our Finance team; end-of-project audit
• Be the point person for all visits/workshops, working with teams and clients to plan the agenda and aligning on availability of facilities to carry out the visit
• Maintain the CRM system ,keeping the distribution list of newsletters and events current; the CRM would include both internal and external visitors
• Implementation of improvements to the workshop experience based on feedback collected post visits
• Support the managers on team management (interns), including recruitment, onboard training, performance management etc
• Support Finance team on financial performance analysis and review

Qualifications:

• 2+ years professional experience
• Excellent oral communication and facilitation skills, including presentation
• Willing to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environment
• Energetic and cooperative personality

Working Day: Mon to Fri 8:30 am to 5:30 pm & Sat 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

About the role:

The role of the Project Manager oversees the planning and all project operations. The role managed the progress of the project and ensures quality and timely delivery. The Project Manager will be required to travel to project sites.

Job scope:

• To lead, motivate and supervise the Project and Maintenance Team.
• Responsible for the overall project planning, cost control and project management
• Conduct site inspection prior to commencement of work
• Handle project tendering stages
• Prepare and manage project schedule to ensure project completion within schedule
• Read detailed drawings, understand construction plan and knowledge of fabrication methods
• To prepare and adhere to the annual budget, including maintenance.
• To create/oversee/support/maintain project schedules and budgets for multiple projects at the same time.
• Liaise closely with designers, contractors and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of project within budget and with good quality
• Ensure all plans/documents to landlords/local authorities are approved prior to commencement of work
• Manage the day-to-day progress of works on site and resolve all contractor/vendor and building facility management coordination issues
• Attend regular site meetings and inspections
• Report on project status and take appropriate actions to ensure project progress is on schedule
• Monitor quality and contractor/vendor performance through supervision, regular inspection and snagging
• Ensure work performed on-site comply with the local authority requirements
• Enforce site safety procedures, identify and manage risks arising from the workplace or work process
• Conduct final verification and quality audit for all completed contractor/vendor’s work
• Conduct and complete progressive final snagging and defects clearance
• Work closely with Ops Team on timely projects handover
• Management of post construction issues with Ops Team, consultants, contractors, vendors and relevant authorities and ensure timely rectification
• To assist in the development and management of strategic plans and program initiatives to meet the goals and needs of the Company.

Requirements:

• NTC / Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, process engineering or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in the food industrial sector, (e.g. foodcourt and coffeeshop project and reinstatement works)
• Proven record in managing and leading a Project/Maintenance Team.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD
• Possess Class 3 Driving License

The School of Materials Science and Engineering is looking for a highly motivated candidate to join us as a Project Officer (PO). The PO will join an MOE funded project led by Prof Ng Kee Woei. The project aims to upcycle keratinous waste for the bioplastics development. The PO will be responsible to develop and optimize the formulation of keratin-based bioplastics, characterize the produced bioplastics and assess its biodegradation profile in soil.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough literature review and generate periodic updates
• Extract the keratin protein
• Formulate and optimize keratin-based bioplastics
• Characterize the keratin-based bioplastics properties (e.g. Mechanical strength, FTIR, SEM, degradability, permeability, water contact, etc.)
• Analyse and interpret research data
• Develop and optimize protocols
• Manage logistical issues and laboratory inventory.
• Participate in collaborative work within multidisciplinary team and external collaborators
• Assist the generation of periodic progress report as required by funding agency

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science/Chemistry/Environmental Engineering/Biology or related fields
• Experience in polymers, biomaterials research and material characterization required (e.g. Mechanical strength, FTIR, SEM, degradability, permeability, water contact, etc)
• Experience in environmental science and engineering will be a bonus
• Good communication and writing skills
• Good coordination/project management skills
• Able to plan and execute experiments with minimal supervision
• Able to take initiative to improve processes and troubleshoot problems
• Able to organize well and adhere to deadlines
