Job Description

As a member of Private Bank Business Risk & Control Management (BRCM) team, you will play
an important role in exercising risk oversight over front office activities through quality assurance
checks.
Specifically, this role will focus on conducting quality assurance through regular/thematic testing
and ongoing post transaction reviews. You may be required to drive risk and control initiatives
across Private Bank to implement new regulatory requirements or controls enhancement.
This role entails:
▪ Post trade surveillance (tape listening, email surveillance) for client accounts.
▪ Develop subject matter expertise on investment products and related regulatory
requirements and Front office controls (e.g. Investment Suitability / Anti-Fraud).
▪ Identify root causes and propose corrective actions to regularise process related exceptions.
▪ Interact with Front Office staff to provide testing results, analyse disputes and conduct
reassessments whenever necessary.
▪ Participates in discussions with business and risk partners on risk/process issues (e.g.
Compliance, COO functions, Internal/External Audit).
▪ Recommends and implements enhancements to improve effectiveness and efficiency of
Controls Framework and related processes.
▪ Provide sound and pragmatic risk advisory to Front Office and support function for
initiatives/activities and project

Requirements
▪ Minimum 2 – 3 years experience in a Quality Assurance (QA) / controls testing or
surveillance function.
▪ Good knowledge of front office processes and internal controls within a private bank set-up
▪ Team player, partnering with other colleagues to achieve a common goal
▪ Proven ability to balance business needs and controls requirements
▪ Independent, able to work under pressure and deliver testing results
▪ Effective communication and analytical skills; and has demonstrated the ability to work
effectively with all levels within the organization
▪ Knowledge of Excel VBA is an advantage

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Prepare costings and support the team in Tender Bidding.
• Prepare Contracts for Client and subcontractors.
• Support team in contractual matters with clients and subcontractors.
• Prepare quotations, purchase order, monthly progress claims, variation orders and final accounts settlement.
• Support in Contractual Disputes where necessary
• Liaison with clients, contractors and subcontractors is required.
• Develop construction project schedule.
• Deliver project on time, to budget and to other agreed success criteria within corporate guidelines including the client requirements.
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day construction management of the project and provide timely updates.

• Investigate unsatisfactory productivity / performance and initiate measures to improve.
• Identify possible risks to project and stakeholders, as well as create contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
• Responsible for all inspection activities.
• Monitor and supervise entire project team to ensure compliance of work.
• Check and monitor project budget, as well as prepare for unforeseen costs.
• Manage material at construction site to ensure zero wastage and no overstock of material.
• Manage company assets and equipment rental to ensure optimal utilization and cost.
• Manage manpower and overtime cost to ensure optimal cost benefit within or below budget.
• Attend and/or chair meetings with clients, architects, engineers and workers.
• Prepare regular progress reports for each project.
• Ensure all changes to specifications, work scopes and drawings are properly documented.
• Undertake accident investigation when remitted by the relevant designated competent person.

This is a semi-WFH position.

In collaboattion with our in-house 3D designers and 3D renderers, Candidates are suppose to create interior design concepts for customers. While configuring these concepts, Candidate will include material selections from our stock (directly imported by us).

If the design has been chosen by the customer, Candidates will have to meet the customers in our show room and explain the design. Candidates will be paid monthly salary + commission for each design he/she has produced and being selected by the customers.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying duties for MEP Works including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, tender evaluation, cashflow forecast, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.
• Manage the MEP Works taking off from drawings and pricing for cost estimates, tender documents, etc.
• Leading and coaching junior staff in delivery of services, including checking on the works done by junior staff
• Collaborate and develop good relationship with clients and stakeholders internally and externally
• Attend meetings and site inspections when required
• Comply with the Company’s QA requirements and best practice
• Establish client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Building / Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering qualification
• 1 year experience within pre and post contract in consultancy environment would be of advantages

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering, Building / Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or any other discipline related to building construction.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing Town Council’s R&R/NRP projects in a similar capacity in lieu of the educational qualification stipulated above.
• Attended CSCPM
• Job holder without the above qualification but with relevant experience would be considered.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Good communication skills (verbal and written) and can communicate effectively in English.
• Strong in Persuasion, Service oriented, Client relationship and People Management.
• Good working attitude, self-motivated and able to work independently.
