Primary Duties

i)Takeover of Site

• Attend handover inspection with Landlord/Client
• Ensure site readiness for commencement of works
• Report defects/non-compliances to PM (Project Manager) / Project Director (PD)

ii) Project Planning

• Study project schedule and plan site works for daily supervision/management

iii) Project Implementation

• Check and ensure all workers on site have valid work permits/ passes
• Ensure that works are carried out according to schedule or on target for completion
• Purchase and maintenance of materials

iv)Site Management

• Ensure workers adhere to safety rules
• Ensure proper code of conducts at worksite
• Maintain site in a safe and hygienic condition in compliance to statutory requirements

Job Description

• Lead daily operation and ensure kitchen’s consistency in delivering high-quality food;

• Design new Nordic menus and food presentation that enhance customers’ culinary experience, meet quality standards and reflect restaurant’s theme;

• Perform cost proposals for new menu items;

• Ensure kitchen meets all Singapore’s regulations including food hygiene practices, sanitary and food safety guidelines;

• Manage and set kitchen staff roster;

• Train and ensure kitchen staff are equipped to meet daily operations;

JOB SUMMARY

Accountable for overall success of the daily pastry operations. Exhibits creative baking and decorating talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff in preparing quality and consistent pastries for all areas. Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Supervises all pastry areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced. Responsible for guiding and developing staff including direct reports. Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved. Areas of responsibility comprise overseeing all pastry food preparation areas.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area; or
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years of experience as Executive Pastry Chef / Pastry Chef in the hotel industry.
