The Planning Manager will lead, develop and provide direction for the planning team, overseeing day-to-day activities, making strategic decisions, and partnering cross-functionally to achieve success related to delivery, production, and financial goals, including inventory management.

The position will work closely with several Production and Material Planners and strive to serve the End Customer’s requirement in the Institutional, Food & Beverage, Quick Service Restaurant, Water, Paper, and Energy Services divisions which are distributed across the geographically diverse market in Singapore.

• Work cross-functionally with strategic planning, procurement customer service and marketing to:
• allocate critical and or constrained materials;
• Reduces Excess & obsolete materials;
• troubleshoot issue leading to DIFOT failures.
• Set clear objective and guide the team to ensure alignment with overall site-specific, and broader team goals
• Lead and facilitate team and cross-functional meetings to evaluate metrics while addressing challenges and opportunities.
• Handle escalations and complex issues related to production planning, raw material planning and inventory goals.
• Make critical decisions that impact the efficiency and effectiveness of site planning operations.
• Projects and process improvement. Lead and drive projects focused on cost savings, process improvement and supply chain optimization.
• Identified opportunities for streaming processes, reducing waste and improving overall supply chain performance.
• Employ problem solving technique as 5 whys, root cause analysis, and implementing process improvement to effectively tackle challenges and ensure long-term success.
• Develop and mentor team members providing guidance, training and support to foster talent and skill development.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in the FMCG or Chemical Industry or a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the manufacturing sector and a degree in a business discipline.
• Strong leadership and work ethic. A process-driven mentality is crucial. Proven team leadership is a competitive advantage.
• Solid comprehension of the end-to-end supply chain, able to independently analyze and take initiative to resolve issues within and outside of the department and work together with Customer and Supplier Supply Chains.
• Strong MS Excel skills and experience of other planning software & tools - SAP & JDA is a must. Comfortable to work with numbers. MS Office experience also required.
• Forecast Continuous Improvement: Implement a continuous improvement plan to improve forecast accuracy.
• Strong communication skills (A good command of English is required). Able to effectively communicate up, down and across the organization.
• People Development & Coaching: Defines the concepts of people development, including disciplinary processes, how to organize individuals, how to harness the potential of your team and other motivational and corrective strategies.
• Manages Complexity: Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.

Responsibilities:

• Define project scopes and objectives in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility.
• Coordinate internal teams and external vendors for seamless project execution.
• Foster strong relationships with client stakeholders, enhancing client accounts to support ongoing business development.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive project plan to track progress, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.
• Supervise the performance of the general contractor, site manager, and construction team members.
• Ensure daily on-site coordination meetings are held.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Manage resources, including construction materials, labor, and equipment, ensuring availability and proper allocation.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate project risks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
• 8-10 years of experience in marine and construction management.
• Solid understanding of regulations, environmental guidelines, and safety standards in marine construction.
• Project Manager Safety Course certification is a plus.
• Strong client and team management skills.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site, including in remote or offshore locations.
• Able to handle various project environments.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of effectively managing and leading teams.
• Experience managing diverse teams, including subcontractors and vendors.
• In-depth expertise in facility operations, maintenance, and security.
• Prior experience in managing multi-venue facilities is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in FM contract management, compliance, reporting, and client/government relations.

Join our dynamic team as a Planning Manager, SEA where you will play a pivotal role in driving project success from start to finish. You will lead the review, monitoring, and reporting of project performance, mentor teams on performance metrics, engage with clients, and ensure seamless collaboration across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, attend and contribute to monthly review process and reporting. Review and monitor project performance from start up to completion including project progress, performance and risk management.
• Advise project teams on the development of quantity – based performance measurement metrics for reporting and compliance to assess Project performance.
• Interact with clients for program modification or deliverables as may be required from time to time. Assist project teams in these discussions as may be of assistance / mentoring as needed.
• Prepare high quality programs from time to time as may be required.
• Undertake Peer Reviews, MMS Compliance Audits, SRAs and Claim related works as required from time to time.
• Involvement in broader meetings, workshops, handover meetings, peer reviews and lessons learned as these relate to Delivery and Tenders. Ensure lessons from Delivery are being reported back into Tender teams as these relate to Planning and Progress Performance.
• Identify key resources for upskilling and resource development. Ability to coordinate, develop and or deliver key Planning training packs as developed and required over time.
• Planning management through program assessments, project work plans, and reporting in conjunction with other departments.
• Assist in the development of planning staff through support, feedback, training and career development.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have;

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and a minimum of fifteen years experience in project planning/scheduling with a diverse portfolio in large-scale construction projects.
• Experience in civil marine works projects i.e., jetty, wharf, pier, port is an added advantage.
• Experience in construction projects in South East Asia.

Responsibilities

1. Seek and interpret inputs from across the organization to build a demand plan that will drive operational activity in line with the business objectives.

2. Manage the production plan and process operation in the plant.

3. Develop requirement plans for tollers to ensure the tolling plants is operating in line with planned requirements.

4. Manage the import and/or export of components or products to support the demand plan activities in other regions.

5. Manage inventory levels within target ranges for key materials and key locations. The aim is to have adequate material to maintain supply without increasing working capital costs to an unacceptable level.

6. Maintain understanding of short term & medium-term capacity availability and constraints. This is so that related enquiries arising from the supply, business and logistics teams can be addressed (in co-ordination with the Regional Marketing Manager/Global Business Manager) in a clear, accurate and responsive manner.

7. Respond to changes in plan in a timely manner. In addition to updating the demand plan and material movement requirements, this should also include highlighting likely impact of these changes to the business team. This is to ensure that the impact of these changes is understood across the Regional/Global teams.

8. Where required, participate in regional S&OP meetings. This will include providing reports on plans, inventory/capacity outlook, actions associated with product transitions and new product introductions. The aim is to use the meeting to communicate the demand plan and seek input and validation.

9. Collaborate with planners in one’s own region and other regions to ensure coordination of material requirements and shared global resources (such as plant capacity) and develop best practice procedures.

10. Be aware of, and support where necessary, other Supply operations within the region to ensure that Planning activities are aligned with Logistics and Procurement objectives.

11. Support Inventory and other ad-hoc reporting for both Demand and Supply Planning.

12. Support company quality and safety systems through day-to-day activities and via formal feedback mechanism.

Requirements :

• Degree / Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain / Manufacturing or equivalent certifications
• 2 or more years experience in logistics, material planning, or coordination roles
• ERP competency in materials managements and supply planning
• Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
