About The Team:

The mission of the TikTok Eng-AI Innovation Center is to explore cutting-edge AGI technologies, including but not limited to LLM, multi-modal LLM (video/image/audio/text/code), etc., to let machine better understand user creations on Tiktok platform. Regarding to video/image/audio/text, enhanced content understanding can bring better user experience of searching, recommendation, and can more accurately identify and defend internet abuse and fraud on our platform. Regarding to code, our developed LLM aims to automatically re-organize/optimize Tiktok codebase, and make the code/coding become more accessible for Tiktok engineers.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Science & Engineering expert to join our team and be responsible for data collection and preparation for large language models (LLMs). You will be responsible for sourcing high-quality data from various sources, managing external annotation teams, and working closely with the R&D team to ensure model training and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Acquisition:

- Responsible for data collection for large language models, including:

- Sourcing ready-made data from public datasets, commercial data providers, etc.

- Developing data scraping tools to acquire data from the internet and other sources.

- Managing external annotation teams to ensure high-quality data annotation.

Data Preparation:

- Collaborate with the R&D team to define data annotation rules and quality standards.

- Review annotation results to ensure data quality meets model training requirements.

- Explore industry-leading data production methods to continually optimize data acquisition and preparation processes.

Data Compliance:

- Collaborate with the legal team to handle data compliance issues, ensuring data acquisition and usage comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Team Management:

- Responsible for recruitment and management of internal data products or operations teams.

About The Team:

Job Responsibilities

1. Participate in the design and implementation of a high-availability, scalable, distributed large-model machine learning platform to support the development and efficient iteration of large models for TikTok;

2. Explore cutting-edge technologies related to large-model engineering(LLMOps), covering areas such as data processing, model training, inference services, evaluation system, automated orchestration, prompt engineering, and resource scheduling;

3. Construct a high-performance, cost-effective large-model inference service architecture that ensures high service availability.;

4. Explore the application of frontier large models, Code Agents, etc;

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields, with good communication and teamwork skills;

- Solid programming foundation, good coding style, familiar with multi-thread programming, distributed computing, network communication, memory management, and design patterns;

- Experience in engineering R&D or infrastructure, proficient in at least one of the following development languages: C/C++, Python, Golang; and experience researching and developing distributed systems, with the capability and experience in optimizing system performance.

- Experience in developing and deploying large-scale models, including data processing, training, deployment, and evaluation and DevOps/MLOps;

- Experience in large-model service deployment and optimization and distributed scheduling, computing, and storage projects like K8s, Ray, Hadoop, Spark, HDFS;

- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and understanding of large-model engineering frameworks like vllm/langchain.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for physical and technical tasks related to Data Center Infrastructure equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform physical and technical tasks of intermediate & escalated complexity on Data Center infrastructure equipment including but not limited to servers infrastructure, network infrastructure, or other equipment on the DC floor, without immediate supervision.

• Work alongside Technicians in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, networking equipment, and cabling (requires moving and racking equipment)

• Fix broken servers (replace hard drives, replace bad sticks of RAM, etc.).

• Use hardware/software tools and workflows (automation) in support of these tasks.

• Strictly follow all policies, processes, and procedures related to the activities and data center environment.

• Perform maintenance on a timely basis with adequate recordkeeping.

• Maintain equipment in running order with minimal downtime.

• Ensure a safe working environment and perform maintenance in a safe manner.

Requirements

• NITEC in IT or technical based qualifications.

• Familiar and comfortable using and working with IT equipment and software.

• Experience in repair of electronics components of computers.

• Scissor lift license would be an added advantage.

About the Role

As a Data Center Operations Technician on-site with our client, you’ll be part of a dynamic team, ensuring smooth operations and hardware support in a high-tech environment. This hands-on role is perfect for individuals passionate about technology and data centers, including fresh graduates eager to start their careers in a rapidly growing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Hardware Support: Perform installations, moves, additions, and changes for IT equipment, including networks, servers, and storage devices.

• Decommission Equipment: Safely decommission and handle disposal of IT assets (HDD, SSD, backup devices).

• Cabling Management: Connect and disconnect patch cables to maintain structured cabling within the data center.

• Server Hardware Troubleshooting: Replace parts, reseat modules, and conduct SFP module and hardware fixes (HDD, memory, mainboard replacements).

• Data Center Inspections: Conduct regular physical and visual checks on equipment and facilities.

• Maintenance Support: Provide on-site assistance during scheduled maintenance and change events.

Requirements

• Critical Environment Experience: Experience in large-scale data centers is a plus.
