• Data collection and management including resolving data discrepancies, tracking of trial expenditures and timely invoicing (where applicable), etc.
• Administering quality of life questionnaires or any other surveys as and when required.
• Performing trial procedures which include taking and recording patients’vital signs performing ECGs; collecting data; other trial-related procedures.
• Collection and delivery of biological specimens eg blood, urine and tissues whenever necessary.
• Inventory of study materials such as laboratory kits, patient diaries and case report forms to ensure adequate supplies are maintained to conduct the trials.
• Collection of medical records or duplicate radio-diagnostic films and ensuring that the items are collected in accordance with specific request forms.
• Managing the Clinical Trials Office’s Medical Records Trolley and the transportation of medical notes in the Trolley between Medical Records Office and the Clinical Trials Office. The ACRC shall also assist other CTO staff to obtain medical notes and other source documents.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Life Sciences/Nursing
• Proficient at performing venepuncture for blood specimen collection
• 2 years of related working experience an advantage
• Knowledge in cannulation would be an added advantage
• Good time-management and communication skills

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and research to identify evidence-based practices relevant to our service areas.
• Analyze current services and identify areas for improvement based on evidence and data.
• Design and implement evaluation frameworks for existing programs to assess effectiveness and impact.
• Collaborate with services to co-design new program models or enhancements to existing ones based on evidence-based insights and research findings.

•Clinical Section: responsible to perform, depending on the section posted, a variety of test procedures according to the standards set in the Laboratory with little direct supervision by a senior staff:

•Routine qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses on blood, CSF (cerebrospinal fluid), urine and other body fluids.

•Routine haematology procedures.

•Routine bacteriological procedures, including cultures, isolation and identification techniques and antibiotic sensitivity testing.

Administrative Section - responsible to perform registration of patient samples, handling telephone inquiries by clients and printing and faxing of patient results with minimal supervision by a Client Service Supervisor.

•Follows Laboratory policy for registration, billing, identification, processing, reporting, result retrieval and record/specimen keeping.

•Complies and maintains all applicable safety regulations in the Laboratory.

•Maintains proper inventory levels of all Clinical Laboratory consumables and reagents and raise consumable orders when it is low in supply.

•Checks the performance of all instruments and equipment in the Laboratory and to report any equipment which is not functioning properly.

•Complies with all regulatory guidelines, participating in CAP proficiency testing programs and in hospital quality assurance programs.

•Participates in a routine maintenance program for instruments and in on-going continuing education and professional development programs.

•Participate in relevant accreditation and licensing (MOH, JCI, ISO etc..)

•Involve in EQAs (CAPs, RCPA, INSTAND etc.)

Qualifications & Experience

•Recognised Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical Laboratory.
