• Take participants’ informed consent for study, verify eligibility and systematically performing drug and supplement verification.

• Assist in conducting health and lifestyle questionnaire, dietary and/or cognitive assessment.

• Perform physiological assessment according to Standard Operating Procedures and record measurements. These physiological assessments include body composition, lung, eye, skin and heart function using sophisticated medical devices (training will be provided)

• Assist in frozen sample retrieval and sorting.

• Perform nucleic acid (DNA and RNA) extraction and quantification.

• This position is under the FRS programme. The researcher will maintain and further develop InfraRisk, an integrated platform for the electricity grid, water network and transport system quantifying the effects of weather-related disruptive events on interdependent systems.
• The platform will be leveraged to design system resilience against disruptive events and across system interdependencies, with a focus on simulating and testing disruption/restoration scenarios relevant to Southeast Asia.
• An important technical aspect will be to model the recovery strategies considering interdependencies between the power, water, and transport systems.
• The ultimate goal of the integrated platform will be to identify features and requirements that aid in developing solutions to improve resilience.

Requirements

Reponsibilities:

Job scope and responsibilities:

1. Heading a laboratory specializing in either one of the following:

a. Quantum Computing for biomedical applications

b. Clinical data hub and clinical data analysis

c. AI and generative models in healthcare applications (e.g. synthetic data)

d. AI in drug discovery

2. Collaborate closely with clinicians and with faculties within the Bioinformatics Institute and within the local ecosystem.
