RSIS is seeking suitable candidates for the position of Research Analyst/Senior Analyst/Associate Research Fellow with the Military Transformations Programme. The successful applicant should have a research focus on key issues, trends, and developments in military-tech governance and responsible innovation of emerging technologies in defence. Research problems in this area may include mapping norm development trajectories, mechanisms, and dialogues on responsible innovation in defence, including in areas such as artificial intelligence, autonomous weapons systems, and contested domains such as space, underwater, and cyber. Moreover, projecting how select countries, militaries, tech-companies, and international organisations are implementing and operationalizing responsible defence innovation and why.

The successful applicant is also expected to contribute to the School’s multidisciplinary research agenda, contribute to team research and policy-oriented projects, and organise conferences and seminars. Responsibilities

• Develop & enhance cutting-edge computer vision & graphics algorithms for 3D reconstruction, visualization & analytics, 3D simulation and virtual try-on.
• Understand current state-of-the-art technologies and approaches as well as their limitations
• Collaborate with Senior Researchers to rapidly prototype novel approaches and suggest improvements
• Confidently analyse technical challenges to propose viable engineering solutions
• Refine existing algorithms at the design level to improve real-world robustness
• Explore performance optimization of existing algorithms
• Collaborate with other members of the company to ensure seamless integration of research findings into the company’s products

Required Skills & Experience

• Masters or Bachelors (2nd Upper & above) in Computer Vision/Graphics, Machine Learning or related technical field
• School or Internship project experience in computer vision related topic
• Knowledgeable in 3D computer vision & graphics techniques
• Knowledgeable in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenVINO, scikit-learn

• The standardised classification and grouping of healthcare data which reflects the complete clinical picture of the patients
• Contributes to hospital operational and subvention forecasts, but also allows clinicians to better plan the care of future patients with similar conditions.
