about the role

• Familiar with MAS Security regulatory requirements and Bank’s policies and IT security best practices
• Part of the Technology Risk Mgmt (“TRM”) team to maintain a strong governance and technology risk management process
• Perform gap assessment against regulatory technology risk and cybersecurity requirements, monitor for changes or updates to the respective regulatory requirements, suggest recommendations, continuous improvement to the technology risk and cybersecurity framework when necessary
• Represent TRM team, work closely with respective stakeholder (mainly 1st line of defence) to oversight incident root causes analysis and ensure it is remediated correctly
• Assist crafting of technology related policies by contributing the technical and security aspect to compliance with regulatory and bank requirements
• Responsible to organize Adversarial Attack Simulation Exercise, or Purple Teaming
• Responsible for Risk Register monitoring and necessarily follow up of treatment plan, work closely with relevant stakeholders, e.g. risk action owners, to ensure the treatment plan is carried out correctly

Skills and experience required

• Bachelor’s degree relevant to Computer Science (or equivalent)
• Minimum 7 years’ experience within information security with at least 3 years in security operation or related hands-on experience.
• Good knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, cyber security technologies, including cloud security principles, practices and solutions.
• Experience on security assessment, improvement and solution finding
• Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) and associated security controls

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Experience in delivering multiple security projects and solutions across one or more of the following domains: (Information Security domains: Cyber Program Management, Cyber Threat Management, Identity & Access Management, Data Protection, Privacy, Security Operations and Cyber Analytics.) This experience should include both advisory, implementation and operation experience
• Understand security concepts and how they apply to business and technology solutions
• Be able to articulate threats and risk to business and technology leaders
• Understand project management concepts and how they can be applied to security related projects
• Strong technical security skills in assessment, design, implementation, architecture, and program / project delivery and work across various delivery models, (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps)

To Qualify for the role, you must have

• A recognized university degree
• Strong interest in the field of information security

• Excellent communicator with strong analytical, interpersonal and writing skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Industry related certification preferred (e.g. CISA, CISM, SABSA, PRINCE2, TOGAF, ITIL).
• Solution Level Certifications, OSCP, CREST, GIAC would be advantageous, as well as penetration testing experience.
• Solution design of Threat & Vulnerability Management solutions such as implementation of SIEM (e.g. ArcSight), Incident Response (e.g. Resilient) & Security Analytics (e.g. RSA Security Analytics) within the context of a Security Operating Centre framework
• Familiar with at least one of the following IAM technologies such as SailPoint, RSA Aveksa / VIA & Oracle (OIM, OIA)
• Possess a CISSP certification

Key Responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for, but are not limited to:

• Reviewing the design and architecture of our customers’ environments against industry security best practices and guidelines such as NIST 800-53, ISO27001, and CIS Top 20 Controls
• Aligning client’s business with relevant information security frameworks while developing and executing security strategy

Experience:

• Minimum of two years direct Information and Cyber Security experience in a security analyst, engineer, architect, consultant, or a similar role
• Strong background in infrastructure and security architecture including deep knowledge of IT network and security (secure LAN, WAN, vLAN, MPLS, and secure network zoning and restricted network design) and cloud-based technologies
• Strong background and working knowledge of major cloud service and systems, such as AWS, Azure, etc
• High proficiency in a variety of operating systems such as Unix/Linux/Mac/Windows operating systems
