The TikTok Fundamental team will focus on frontend development. We will also focus on understanding our users, identifying opportunity areas, prioritizing the problems we must solve, and rapidly creating innovative user experience solutions. We are looking for experienced frontend engineers to develop web/hybrid applications.

- To develop user-interfaces for TikTok Live on PC/ Mobile Devices, including Middle platform, Operating platform, Products for users, Events with Multi-scales and etc.

- To develop infrastructures such as engineering solutions that will be supporting TikTok Live's business and productivity tools and platforms.

- Create the ultimate user experience and support the growth and development of the TikTok Live Ecosystem with high-quality design and coding.

- Explore and implement efficient collaboration methods to enhance the efficiency of remote and cross-regional communication and support the iteration of our business.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

- Solid front-end programming skills with experience in solving browser compatibility issues and optimizing front-end performance.

- Understand front-end engineering and component development, having a certain design skill set and familiar with at least one MV* framework.

Preferred Qualification

- Minimum 1 year relevant work experience from a large-scale internet business

- Having excellent service awareness, learning ability, communication and collaboration ability and english language skill to use in communication and collaboration.

- Good to have experience in multi-end (Native/PC/Server) development.

- Good to have experience in participating or leading large-scale projects and open source projects.

- Good to have experience in writing tech articles or tech blogs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research and Development:Conduct in-depth research on emerging IoT protocols, connectivity solutions, and network infrastructure technologies.
   Design, prototype, and test new networking solutions to optimize IoT device connectivity, reliability, and energy efficiency.
   
2. Network Design and Prototyping:Develop, simulate, and test scalable network architecture for IoT environments, including wireless sensor networks
   Work on integrating IoT-specific protocols and standards within network infrastructure to ensure interoperability and security.
   
3. Testing and Validation:Implement rigorous testing and validation processes for IoT network systems, assessing performance, security, latency, and energy consumption.
   Use simulation tools to evaluate network performance and analyze results to improve network efficiency and reliability.
   
4. Collaboration and Integration:Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Data Analytics, and Security, to ensure network solutions meet product and market requirements.
   Collaborate with external vendors, industry partners, and standards organizations to remain at the forefront of IoT network innovations.
   
5. Documentation and Technical Reporting:Document R&D findings, technical specifications, and project outcomes.
   Present updates to stakeholders, highlighting advancements and technical insights to support product development.
   
6. Problem Solving and Innovation:Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues in IoT devices and propose innovative solutions to enhance system performance and robustness.
   Continuously assess industry trends to identify new opportunities and optimize network architecture for IoT scalability.
   

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in network infrastructure, IoT, or relevant R&D roles.
• Technical Skills: Strong foundation in network protocols
  Experience with IoT connectivity standards
  Hands-on experience with IoT devices, wireless networks, and edge computing.
  Familiarity with cloud IoT platforms and network simulation tools.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills for optimizing IoT network performance and security.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities; able to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
