• Lead to Working out how many tiles and how much adhesive you’ll need for a particular area
• Lead to Cutting tiles to a certain size or shape with hand-cutters or bench-mounted tools
• Lead to Preparing surfaces by levelling off with plaster, sand or cement
• Lead to Decorating and protecting floors and walls using all kinds of tiles (including ceramic, clay, slate, marble and glass)
• Lead to fixing the tiles and applying grout before finishing off
• Lead to Laying intricate mosaic tiles
• Working in clients’ homes or businesses.
• Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break or damage tiles
• Follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to go about jobs
• Must be a team player and gets along well with other co-workers.
