• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a quantity surveying or similar role (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)
• Familiarity with quantity take-off – need to be precise and quick
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in using MS Office, especially MS Excel
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally in the field of quantity surveying

Job Responsibilities :

• Liaise with client and develop design concepts and basis of design to set direction of design.
• Check engineering deliverables and assure technical integrity of design.
• Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant Statutory standards, Regulations and Codes of Practices.
• Carry out various types of geotechnical design and analysis – deep excavations, shafts, tunnels, slopes, foundations, etc.
• Carry out appropriate design of structural nature where required.
• Performs other duties or projects as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum eight (8) years of geotechnical engineering experience with Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the PE Board or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control and eligible for application as a Resident Engineer
• Recognised Degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the Engineer
• At least five (5) years of experience in construction supervision of geotechnical work for projects of similar scale, complexity and nature of work.
• Experience with LTA projects would be advantageous.
• Ability to thoroughly analyze and research information.

Job Description:

• Ensure compliance and practice of Company's engineering works comply with all relevant Statutory standards, Regulations and Codes of Practices in conformance with local standards and legislations.
• Manage and communicate with internal/external project teams including relevant Authorities and relevant parties about engineering works and project schedule to comply with all project requirements with agreed procedures.
• Prepare submission reports, specifications and other necessary documents for approval and application to meets both Client and legislations requirements and specifications.
• Identify, analyze and evaluate problems encountered and propose the effective solution approach.
• Coordinate with the contractor, suppliers on all project implementation issues and attend site meetings when required
• Mentoring the project team and managing its performance by providing assistance and support whenever necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned assigned by immediate superior or Head of department.

• Supervise the work of subordinate design and drafting staff to ensure project requirements are met.
• Select and develop design management staff within the project by providing leadership and mentoring to ensure their design management competencies.
• Understand design compliance and reporting procedures and processes and leadership in the communication of requirements.
• Foster the interaction between design and construction teams to maximise innovation and project success.
