- Interpret blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions to identify the quantity, size, shape, and placement of reinforcing rods.

- Review blueprints or specifications to understand the scope and requirements of the work.

- Arrange and secure rods in forms as per blueprint guidelines, using wire and pliers.

- Install fencing or other protective barriers as needed.

- Position structural components in designated locations.

- Secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms with fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, or hand tools.

- Install metal structural components accurately.

- Cut rods to the required lengths using metal shears, hacksaws, bar cutters, or acetylene torches.

- Prepare metal components for installation by cutting them to specifications.

- Place blocks under rebar to elevate the bars above the deck for floor reinforcement.

- Position safety and support equipment as needed to ensure structural stability.

• Source and procure sub-contractors and suppliers and collate prices for comparison.
• Review and understand all specification and drawings.
• Preparation of cost loading.
• Meeting and negotiation with upstream and downstream with regard to quantities/unit rates/schedule of rates, payment claim, specification/drawings, scope of works/responsibility matrix, variations, as necessary.
• Prepare upstream payment claims and downstream payment responses
• Correspondence with upstream and downstream pertaining to contractual and cost related issues
• Sub-contract award and documentation
• Filing of variations / evaluate & monitor project variations
• Perform value engineering and cost control in tandem the with design development
• Undertake other ad-hoc duties and assignments, as and when necessary

Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience require.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
