The main scope of this position is to manage and prepare all the cost estimates for marine/ coastal related tender projects. Involves in value engineering and determining the price of the service.

This position will provide support in projects to check and ensure timely upstream claims to clients are maximize to the company interest including variation order. To report any major contractual status, arise after discussion with project sites. Update any changes in project budget and to ensure accurate and timely payment response are certified to the subcontractor’s monthly claim.

Job Description:

Tender:

• To manages and prepares all the cost estimates for the marine related tender projects. Involves in value engineering and determining the price of the service.
• Support the new project in the following:
• Analyse upstream contract terms and identify possible risks and opportunities related to the application of contract clauses.
• To compute quotations from specialists/sub-contractors, prepare competitive comparison for cost committee prior for negotiation and award contracts.
• To join the procurement team on complex contracts and negotiation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
• Support negotiation of contract terms and assessment of contract proposals
• Draft, review and issue contracts and agreements (between customers and the company, with Sub-Contractors and Suppliers)

Commercial & Contracts:

• Prepare Extension of Time and prolongation costs claims with the aid of external consultants.
• Involve and advise requests for equitable adjustment, contract disputes and contract claim with client/consultants and subcontractors with the aid of external consultants.
• Consolidate the report to the management on defence against claims, disputes or conflicts and contractual non-compliance issues during monthly reporting.

Others:

Requirements:

• Recognised Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or its equivalent
• 10 years of relevant experiences in marine and/or coastal projects experiences or its related field
• Involve from pre-contract stage to post-contract stage

• Manage the loading and unloading of materials
• Maintaining the vehicle in an excellent working condition
• Ensuring safety of goods while transporting
• Finding and driving through a shorter route during an emergency or to avoid heavy traffic
• Reporting any delays to the Transportation Manager
• Maintaining an accurate record in the travel logs
• Inspecting and conducting minor repairs
• Adhering to the road safety precautions and regulations
• Completing daily delivery schedules in a timely fashion
• Collecting and verifying delivery documents
• Paying tolls and maintaining a receipt of the same
• Ensuring all the shipments are stacked properly
• Keeping tracking of the weather conditions and traffic status before starting the journey
• Scheduling timely vehicle servicing appointments

Requirements

• Min 3 year of experience
• Familiar with Singapore roads
• Self-disciplined, responsible, punctual, reliable.
• Able to work in construction environment.
• High school diploma or GED
• Proven work experience as a Lorry Driver, Truck Driver or a similar position handling goods in the Logistics department
• Holding a valid driver’s license
• Certification in LGV C+E, CPC is mandatory
• Having a clean driving and medical record
• Familiarity with GPS and navigation tools
• Basic understanding of shorter routes during an emergency
• Complete knowledge of road safety rules and regulations
• Excellent day and night vision
• Ability to drive for long distances
• Highly motivated and dependable

We are looking for Structural Fitters to build and maintain Pipe and Structural Systems.

The selected candidate will get to read blueprints, set specifications, lay out plans for fabrication and installation.

Candidate should be able to use mechanical tools following safety guidelines. Ideally with experience in construction sector and installation of structures with different materials (steel etc.)

Preferably have strong numerical and communication skills and one will find great excitement in seeing the systems built and commissioned.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints to understand requirements
• Set and modify specifications
• Inspect and prepare sites for construction operations
• Must know gas cutting and welding (Basic welding)
• Must have basic knowledge fit-up inspection
• Must have on-site work experience
• Use and maintain tools
• Collaborate with other workers (e.g. welder, painters) to produce finished constructions
• Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment (e.g. goggles)

• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines when dealing with dangerous equipment or chemicals
