Workplace Safety Health Officer

Job Description & Requirements

a. The Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer shall be registered with the
Ministry of Manpower and be in-charge of all matters relating to safety
aspects of construction activities to ensure that all work activities are carried out
in compliance with the Workplace. Safety and Health and Environmental
Management Regulations

b. The Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer is responsible for conducting daily site safety inspection, identifying potential hazards involved in construction activities, so as to rectify any unsafe practices with solutions. To ensure the potential hazard are eliminated or mitigated at work site before the work started. He shall work together with QPS and site supervision team RE &RTO and conduct safety briefings, witness tool box meetings before commencement of the daily work to ensure compliance with the WSH Act and Regulations, etc.

c.The Workplace Safety & Health, (WSH) Officer shall review all the risk assessments submitted by Contractor to ensure all safety measures are in place at site, check the implementation of the safety and emergency plans, incident reporting systems. He shall be actively involved in incident investigation and conduct sharing with the workers on ‘near missed’ incident where necessary.
