• Acquire domain knowledge and build technical expertise for the development and implementation of healthcare infrastructure projects

Key Requirements

• Degree in Bachelor Degree. i.e. Architecture / Civil Engineering /Building Construction/Project Management or equivalent from a recognised university
• Minimum 5 years of working experience, preferably in a healthcare related environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage both internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent planning, analytical and quantitative skills

What the role is

The research function advances thinking in service, operations and enforcement management for the Singapore public sector. As a researcher, you will design, plan and conduct research. You will also communicate the research insights to support the learning and development of public sector service practitioners and leaders, and help them develop and implement strategies to deliver excellent service, operations and enforcement.

Job Responsibilities

We are inviting applicants for the position of Operations Manager/Executive, who shall report to Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the smooth running of the entire operations of power plants. The Operations Manager/Executive shall assume the following:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setting up an effective and efficient Operations Department.
• Responsible for managing and operating the power plant in a safe, efficient and timely manner in accordance with operational guidelines, regulatory requirements and the Singapore Electricity Market Rules, to meet power plant generation output requirements.
• Managing a group of shift charge engineers and operations personnel such as technical officers and/or technicians.
• Implement strategies and action plans to ensure that the power plant supports corporate strategic initiatives.
• Establish group and individual accountabilities for operations problem solving and cost management. Encourage use of new techniques and focus on fact-based problem solving.
• As a key member of the management team; assess and address issues to identify and implement improvements towards efficient and effective operations.
• Review plant production reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas of improvement.
• Establish and implement department wide policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with management team, technical and operations staff members as necessary.
• Develop operational policies, standards and procedures for the operations of the power plant.
• Set operations technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.
• Perform managerial functions such as reviewing and writing management reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.

Requirements:
