HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Lead major strategic corporate real estate initiatives and associated transactions in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), and India, including purchases, new leases, renewals, subleases, sales, new business integrations, etc.
• Manage all transaction activities in Southeast Asia, ANZ and India, including leading broker interview and selection, managing site search and coordinating site evaluation with internal stakeholder groups (e.g. Engineering, Legal, Security, Technology, etc.), negotiating deal terms, managing relationships with landlords in buildings occupied by Goldman Sachs

This information system is deployed in 25 business units all around the world. • Build relationships and interface closely with a diverse set of Legal, Risk, and Compliance partners, subject matter experts, internal control partners and/or risk management professionals

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years PQE qualified lawyer
• In-house or law firm experience advising a heavily regulated industry on development of compliance strategies, governance, and frameworks, ideally across multiple jurisdictions
• Understanding and experience of Integrity/Online safety law practice and principles
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under tight deadlines
• APAC related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience assessing and advising upon a diverse set of legal standards governing content issues, across a range of topics
• People management experience characterised by a culture of inclusion and a growth mindset

• Advise on legal and compliance assessment of product features, processes and functions.
• Conduct daily support in commercial transactions, including contracts drafting and negotiations with business partners.
• Collaborate effectively with regional and cross-functional teams (including product, finance, tax, data privacy) to provide legal support from strategy to daily queries.
• Create templates, guidelines, playbooks to support the product teams or facilitate compliance initiatives.
• Other work assigned by supervisor on case by case basis.

Qualifications

• LLM or JD degree from an accredited Law School and a member in good standing of a Bar Association.
• 5+years of experience in-house and/or in a reputable law firm, working in the IP/IT, media and technology fields.
• Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills.
• Flexible, solution-oriented, pro-active and self-motivated.
• Good communication skills and able to work effectively with team members and cross-function partners from different cultural and professional backgrounds.
• Ability to assess legal, practical and business risks in a fast-paced environment and provide sound advice under tight deadlines
• Working efficiency in both written and spoken Mandarin.
