ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities:

• Review of subsidiaries’ monthly accounts, reporting packages and tax filing documents, and responsible for accurate and timely month-end closing and tax filing of subsidiaries
• Performance of variance analysis and preparation of key management financial reports
• Monitoring cash flows and capital requirements of subsidiaries
• Provision of guidance on accounting issues to regional subsidiaries
• Drafting of statutory financial statements
• Liaise with outsourced accountant, company secretary, auditor and tax consultant of subsidiaries
• Co-ordination of Group forecasting and budgetary process
• Maintain and ensure compliance to accounting policies, guidelines and internal control systems as laid down by Head Office
• Assist in other financial matters as required

Qualifications

• Min Degree in Financial Accounting or any relevant field.
• 3 to 5 years of working experience in accounting
• able to work on tight reporting deadlines

A key member of the Finance Regional Shared Service team based in Singapore servicing different departments and business units in Singapore, China, Japan, USA and Europe.

A broad-based role focusing with exposure and hands on learning experience on accounting systems, processes and procedures, reporting, analysis, risk management and, internal controls etc. A central role where the Accountant will be able to liaise with Group Finance, Group Credit Management Team,, Commercial teams in many countries and, Bankers, Auditors

Responsibilities

Reporting, internal control compliance & analysis

Reporting

• In charge of monthly management reporting to the Group
• Responsible for statutory reporting and tax filing

Controlling

• Prepare overheads reports for Hub departments
• Perform cost control analysis and conduct meetings with Hub head of departments to review overheads spendings
• Assist the Director in internal controls, forecasting and budgeting exercise

Intercompany and Treasury activities, Accounts receivables & Credit risk management

• Responsible for intercompany billings, confirmation and factoring process
• Manage cash forecasting and treasury activities
• Liaise with Group Treasury on reporting, queries, funding needs
• Liaise with Bankers on receipts and payment issues
• Setup new Customer accounts in SAP and manage open sales orders
• Liaise with Business units on Accounts receivables collection status and highlight potential risk areas
• Credit risk management and credit insurance compliance

Accounts Payables and Payments:

• Responsible for vendor invoices processing (Business Unit: HUB)
• Prepare bi-monthly payments to suppliers (Business Unit: GTR)
• Liaise with Group Treasury on payment calendar and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• At least 3 years of accounting or auditing work experience
• Experience in using SAP
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Handle and maintain full sets of accounts (AP, AR & GL), including preparation of month-end closing and monthly schedules.
• Help the team prepare GST submissions.
• Process intercompany recharge and reconciliation.
• Support all audit-related matters including preparation of audit schedule, attend to audit queries and providing requested information.
• Ensure compliance with all filing requirements, eg. corporate tax, GST, audits internal controls and procedures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and credit control management.
• Participate in system enhancements/implementation to align with new operational requirements.
• Review and recommend areas where processes and procedures could be further improved for greater efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

• Manage Group’s tax planning and transfer pricing matters

• Review weekly Group’s cash flow forecast/AR & AP reports
• Review monthly P&L and Balance Sheet of holding company’s local and overseas subsidiaries. Ensure group closing is accurate and within the stipulated timeline
• Evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of existing accounting processes, internal controls, and procedures
• Ensure that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
• Review GST returns for Singapore and overseas subsidiaries
• Prepare Group annual budget
• Responsible for control of Group’s bank tokens and payment authorization
• Responsible for payroll & HR matters
• Review overseas subsidiaries’ payroll computation
• Assist in ad hoc system implementation projects
• Responsible for government grants submission
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, relevant government and regulatory agencies
• Any other related ad hoc duties assigned

Requirements

• Minimally holding a Bachelor in Business Administration, Financial Management, or Accountancy-related courses.
• Must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial accounting purposes.
• Prior experience in dealing with accounting systems such as Xero or Microsoft Dynamics is highly preferred
• Experience in Audit will be a high advantage.
• Have strong attention to detail to ensure there are no errors and accurate bookkeeping activities.
• Someone with good time management and the ability to deliver to deadlines as a self-starter, who can plan and organize their time effectively and take initiative to meet job objectives or even make suggestions for improvements.

Responsibilities:

· Preparation of monthly group consolidation for statutory and management reporting

· Timely preparation of annual budget and quarter forecasting

· Liaise with internal and external auditors for internal and external audits and assist the closure of applicable audit issues raised by external and internal auditors

· Manage the preparation of SEC filings, including the Form 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K reports, Earnings Release, Proxy statement, Press Release and other miscellaneous filings.
