Responsibilities:

• Generate Services Revenue & Profits for the company through means of account coverage in strategic sector
• Work on solutions-based selling, identification of customer pain points and aligning appropriate solutions to meet the customer's business needs
• Perform bid analysis based on solutions offered with competitor landscape to generate competitive bid for submission
• Customer visitation to explain solutions offered
• Identify key stakeholders within accounts to continue the growth extending reach to different business units within the accounts
• Candidates with lesser years of experience will be considered for the Account Manager position

Job Description

NUS Enterprise plays a pivotal role in advancing innovation and entrepreneurship. We are an incubator and venture builder with a comprehensive range of programs, providing mentorship, and support for startups and spinoffs. We are expanding and we need someone to be part of the team to nurture these start-ups and help them reach the next phase in their growth.

As part of the NUS Enterprise Portfolio Management Unit, you will

• Work closely with NUS Enterprise teams on the pipeline of early-stage startups/spinoffs, and identify opportunities for incubation and/or investment.
• Identify opportunities in emerging technologies and industries, supported by in-depth research and working knowledge.
• Manage the entire investment process, from sourcing, to conducting due diligence, deal structuring, terms negotiation, recommendations, legal documentation and funding completion.
• Build and manage external relationships with founders, investors, corporate partners, and internal relationships with NUS Enterprise and other departments, to foster collaboration and leverage collective knowledge/expertise, so as to enhance value of the portfolio of startups/spinoffs.
• Monitor progress of the portfolio and provide timely communication of such progress to Unit head and management.
• Seek exit or M&A opportunities of the portfolio.
• Be responsible for data collection, regular reports, legal documentation and administrative tasks related to your portfolio and the Unit.
• Senior level of appointment (Associate Director & above) would require you to assume leadership responsibilities, eg supervising junior portfolio/investment managers.

Qualifications

• University degree.

Experience:

• Proven track record in early-stage investments, including the management of at least one fund exceeding S$20 million. A strong network in the investment community would be an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to build a strong investment pipeline and identify potential in emerging industries and business models.

Skills:

• Critical and independent thinker, capable of seeing the big picture while maintaining attention to detailed execution.
• Proficient in assessing complex, high-risk proposals and making well-reasoned recommendations despite ambiguities and imperfect information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in financial analysis, deal structuring, and legal documentation.

Interpersonal Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, necessary for engaging with external parties and articulating complex, high-risk proposals clearly and convincingly to management or internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

Report to the Restaurant Manager. To support and assist the Restaurant Manager to achieve optimal business performance of their restaurant, as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, health and safety. And, to assist in the management of the restaurant, deputising in the absence of the Managers.

Assist in achieving optimal business performance of the restaurant

Assist in analysing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability

Assist in preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food & cash control and sales

Assist in creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff development

Assist in monitoring labour and F & B costing matters including inventory control and conducting bi-monthly stock take

Assist in planning and coordinating menus

Assist in managing filing system and read company emails

Assist in handling disciplinary issues, conducting Annual review and confirmation of staff

Provide effective leadership to the food and beverage team to ensure targets are met

Constantly review, evaluate operations/procedures and suggest improvements to the management

Coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts

Respond to customer complaints. Ensure positive customer service in all areas, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied customers into return customers

Ensure that all employees adhere to the company's uniform standards

Meet and greet customers and organise table reservations

Advise customers on menu and beverage choice

Conduct orientation and training & coach new trainees

Plan staff duty roster and cleaning duties

Update GRN and perform e-Procurement

Handle cashiering duties, daily sales collection, cashiers float and petty cash claims and control

Requirements:

• Min. 5 years of relevant experience with 3 years in a managerial capacity in established hotpot-concept restaurants
• Have good product knowledge on food items
• F&B cost/inventory management skills would be an added advantage
• Basic PC-literacy
• Strong command of both Mandarin & English in order to communicate and introduce menu items to customers
