The Postdoctoral Associate is in the T5 project for the five-year M3S program in SMART. The SMART team seeks to advance the frontier of AI research, apply it to society and cities, and demonstrate the concrete social impacts of the AI algorithms with broad public acceptance in Singapore.

Specifically, the SMART-T5 project seeks to develop innovative machine learning algorithms that nudge human activities to maximize the growth of social capital and economy. The project makes intellectual contributions by synergizing classical network theory and deep learning, with applications to urban mobility networks in cities. This synergy leverages the integrated data sets of micro human mobility (e.g. phone trajectory), social network (e.g. Twitter), transportation infrastructure, and macro socioeconomics, thus connecting the micro-behavioral mechanism to macro-economic development.

Job Description:

• Able to handle over the counter transactions in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Assist in customers enquiries and ensure service delivery standards are met in achieving total customer satisfaction
• Prospect and introduce customers to the products and services
• Educate and migrate customers to use digital platform
• Manage customer wait time and service level.
• Manage customer negative impact and complaints

Requirements:

• Highly adaptable, ability to deal with ambiguity.
• Experience in delivering excellent customer journeys and digital features
• Adapt at use of data to drive productivity and performance
• Ideally related experience or customer facing experience
• Willing to learn and not afraid to face customers
• IT Savvy (There will be a requirement to use the systems)
• Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel (Simple functions)
• Freshers are welcome (As long as they are okay to take and ready to learn)

Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide admin support in training and material preparations and other logistics purposes.
• Assist in training, marketing, and execution of both physical and virtual training events (e.g., webinars, talks and workshops)
• Assist in managing training calendar to ensure all training programmes are running smoothly and timely.
• Coordination of all course registrations and enrolments.
• Assist in handling trainers, clients, and end-users’ feedback, enquires, and correspondences.
• Provide support in answering incoming calls, appointment bookings, and administrative supports whenever is needed.
• Ad hoc admin support whenever requested by the Executive Director.

Requirements:

• GCE “O” Level and above
• At least 3 years in a similar role, experience in a charity is advantageous.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused.
• A good team player.
• Proficient in IT-related troubleshooting, and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Able to multi-task and be flexible to cover front-desk duties.
