Job Summary:
The Infrastructure & Container Platform Support Engineer will act as a liaison between Application and Infrastructure teams, ensuring seamless implementation of infrastructure requirements for applications. The role requires managing, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure platforms while adhering to bank standards for performance, security, and compliance.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Infrastructure Coordination & Support: Collaborate with Application and Infrastructure teams to define and set up the necessary infrastructure for applications. Address application infrastructure requirements effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Performance & Compliance Management: Monitor and maintain performance for Operating Systems, Middleware, and Databases. Ensure timely implementation of security/bug fix patches, End-of-Support (EOS) transitions, and compliance with ISCD and bank security standards.
Technical Expertise & Incident Management: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing senior-level technical guidance to application teams. Promptly respond to incidents, analyze root causes, and deliver temporary and permanent resolutions for issues related to Middleware, OS, database performance, capacity, resiliency, stability, replication, and other critical aspects.
Solution Design & Recommendation: Research and recommend solutions that align with business needs and enterprise operational requirements. Evaluate new releases of Middleware, OS, and Database components, ensuring minimal impact and compliance across the environment.
Development Support: Provide technical assistance to application development teams in leveraging infrastructure and container platforms effectively.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and other container platforms.
- Solid knowledge of Linux OS, Wintel OS, and databases like MariaDB (or equivalent).
- Experience with networking technologies such as F5 GTM/LTM or other SLBs.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a relevant role.
- Experience in banking or financial services institutions is preferred.
Work Environment:
- Availability to work in shift-based schedules, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments, coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
Shift Timings:
Morning Shift: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM
General Shift: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Night Shift: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Candidates must be flexible and prepared to support all shift patterns, including weekends and public holidays.
