Order Entry and Logistics Coordinator

Summary:

Candidate will be responsible for the triage and processing of Service Orders. These Service Orders are related to the coordination of new equipment installations for commercial vessels that have global sailing patterns.

The ideal candidate may have experience working for a Fleet Manager or a Maritime hardware supplier coordinating projects/services on vessels. Or comparable work experience in Field Service Operations for land-based telecommunications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Triage and process Service Orders for KVH managed installations (Asia Pacific Region)
• Service Order entry into Baan ERP system
• Coordinate logistics requirements with Asia Pac Sales managers, customers or consignee, via phone and email, to ensure proper delivery of product
• Verify shipping and consignee/forwarding agent information
• Coordination with vessel sailing schedules

• Freight quotes with proper of Incoterms

THE POSITION

Title:

Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Visualization Specialist to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of the company's data architecture, databases, and data processing systems. Your responsibilities will include designing, constructing, installing, and maintaining efficient data systems, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines to support the collection (web scraping), processing, and storage of large datasets.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Containerize applications using Docker for efficient deployment and scalability.
• Orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes to ensure reliability, scalability, and high availability.
• Design, deploy, and manage message queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ) for asynchronous communication between microservices.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Python to implement data processing algorithms and services.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

· 2 to 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.

· Strong proficiency in GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and message queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ).

· Advanced programming skills in Python, with experience in data processing libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).

· Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, but familiarity with any other cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is acceptable.

· Ability to work independently and proactively, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Title

Order Entry and Logistics Coordinator

Summary:

Candidate will be responsible for the triage and processing of Service Orders. These Service Orders are related to the coordination of new equipment installations for commercial vessels that have global sailing patterns.

The ideal candidate may have experience working for a Fleet Manager or a Maritime hardware supplier coordinating projects/services on vessels. Or comparable work experience in Field Service Operations for land-based telecommunications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to the following:

• Triage and process Service Orders for KVH managed installations (Asia Pacific Region)
• Service Order entry into Baan ERP system
• Coordinate logistics requirements with Asia Pac Sales managers, customers or consignee, via phone and email, to ensure proper delivery of product
• Verify shipping and consignee/forwarding agent information
• Coordination with vessel sailing schedules
• Determination of proper shipping method
• Freight quotes with proper of Incoterms
• Provide needed shipping documentation for country specific Customs clearance
• Liaise with KVH functional groups as needed
• Sales Department – receiving, checking and processing new orders
• Finance Department – unblock orders and receive proper pre-payment from customer as necessary
• Shipping Department – ensure proper delivery terms and deadlines are communicated
• Coordinate service operations including scheduling and distribution of work for technicians, utilizing Salesforce to generate and manage work orders.
• Responsible for updating Salesforce with customer and vessel information
• Enter RMA orders (Return Materials Authorization) and follow up on returns related to Decommissioned units.

Qualifications/ Prerequisites:

• Minimum high school diploma or GCE “A” Level or equivalent required; Diploma.

• Prior experience with international logistics company
• Prior experience working in a CRM system for case management is an added benefit (Salesforce)

To support the fast-growing data analytics team within Consumer Division (CD), we are looking for a competent Data Analyst to join the team in providing digital user behaviour insights on our websites and apps, to drive new subscriptions and increase monthly active users.

This Data Analyst will be deriving insights and developing dashboards with internal and external data, including but not limited to marketing and engagement campaigns, conversion levers and checkout flows. This role is expected to be highly independent, support insights projects through the entire analytics lifecycle, and be the glue between business and data.

This role will be expected to go beyond being an “analyst”. This involves understanding how different systems work, read through systems documentation on data endpoints, work with Tech to plan user behaviour tracking requirements, handle UAT to test those tracking plans, write automated ETL scripts, understand marketers’ user requirements and build/maintain the dashboards required. Recording of checks to ensure accuracy of data/insights before presentation to stakeholders will be a basic expectancy for this role.

This role will partake in new ideas and face unknowns that come with changing business demands and technical industry trends. The Analyst must be willing to explore & tackle said unknowns, and be involved in cross functional projects to ensure data related to CD data objectives are well-governed.

Roles & Responsibilities

Data acquisition

• Support Division’s need for subscriptions and revenue related data dimensions and metrics.
• Work closely with other stakeholders from SPHTech source for new behavioural/ demographic data dimensions and metrics relevant for the Division’s growth.
• Liaise with data engineers from SPHTech to ensure healthy ETL of the Division’s behavioural metrics.

Data documentation and accuracy

• Maintain high quality and proper documentation of analytical work done.

Data analysis, insights and forecast

• Contribute to analytical insights of behavioural metrics, including but not limited to content consumption, paywalls and checkout flows.

Dashboards

• Develop and maintain dashboards that track the readers and customer’s behavioural journey to inform marketing campaigns.

Requirements

• Proficient with at least one dashboard / business intelligence tool. Tableau and Quicksight preferred.
• Experience in creating compelling data reports, drawing actionable insights & visualisations.
• Strong data storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate findings in a clear and actionable manner.
• Experience in data extraction, aggregation, and processing with SQL. Experience with AWS Glue, Pyspark will be a bonus.
• Proficient with spreadsheets.
• Working experience with Google Analytics 360 / Google Analytics 4 / Google Tag Manager will be a bonus.
• Familiarity with marketing performance tracking and A/B testing concepts. Experience with machine learning is a bonus.
