Main Responsibilities:

• Perform physical and technical tasks of low complexity on Data Center Infrastructure equipment (servers infrastructure, network infrastructure, or equipment DC floor)
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and cabling
• Fix broken servers (replace hard drives, replace bad sticks of RAM, etc.)
• Learn and apply diagnostic methods to troubleshoot data center equipment
• Use hardware/software tools and workflows (automation) in support of these tasks
• Strictly follow policies, processes, and procedures related to data center environment
• Perform maintenance on a timely basis with adequate recordkeeping
• Maintain supply of spare parts inventory
• Ensure equipment is started up properly and maintain equipment with minimal downtime
• Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation.
• Maintain documentation of performance of preventive maintenance, equipment repair, part usages and other documentation
• Ensure a safe working environment and perform maintenance in a safe manner

Requirements:

• Min intermediate Vocational Education in maintenance, hardware repair or equivalent
• Minimum 1 years of experience
• Experience in Lean Principles warehousing.
• Basic knowledge of Linux OS a plus
• Able to identify basic network components and perform fiber and cabling handling
• Ability to rapidly learn Standard Work Instructions (training and job shadowing to be provided)
• Physically fit to carry heavy goods
• Willing to work shift hours when required

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented candidate to lead the development and implementation of a data governance framework at A*STAR Institute for Human Development and Potential to ensure the quality, security, and compliance of research data across the Institute. The successful candidate will have expertise and experience in data governance, data management, and clinical research, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a data governance framework that aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements specific to Singapore, working with stakeholders to establish data policies, procedures, and standards.
2. Collaborate with research teams within and beyond IHDP to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulations such as PDPA (Singapore), GDPR(Europe) and ISO/IEC standards.
3. Conduct data risk assessments, data audits and develop mitigation strategies.
4. Ensure data privacy and security measures are in place.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in information systems, Data Management, Computer Science. Relevant fields will be considered.
• At least 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or in a clinical research management setting.

• Strong understanding of data governance principles, data management best practices, and clinical research regulations.
