The joint CAAS-Thales innovation lab known as ‘AIR Lab’ started to operate on 1st November 2019 with the objective to develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) or Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) of advanced and open technologies for future Air Traffic Management (ATM). • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems, ensuring the longevity and reliability of the equipment. This involves regular inspections, testing, and servicing.
• Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and vessel crew on the proper use, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades performed on electrical systems. Ensure that all electrical work is documented in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma or equivilant; technical certification or associate degree in Marine Mechanics or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Marine service and repair.
• Strong mechanical attitude and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and marine service equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• MicroStrategy Development: Design, develop, and maintain MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and other BI solutions to meet business needs.

• Strong scripting skills e.g. Python, Bash, JavaScript
• Cloud computing deployment and management experience -AWS
• Understand/practice Agile projects
• Strong understanding of networking

Preferred:

• Experience with highly scalable distributed systems
• Breadth of knowledge - OS, networking, distributed computing, cloud computing
