Job Requirements

1) Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering and degree recognised by Singapore PEB board

2) Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience and at least completed 1 LTA Bus depot or LTA infrastructure project after tertiary education in related fields for construction supervision of similar scale and complexity

3) Familiar PSSOC contract

4) Proficient in BIM software and AUTOCAD will be an added advantage

5) Preferably with experience in writing tender specifications

6) Good communication, written and analytical skills

Scope of Work

1) Contract / Sub Contract administration, preparation of progress claims, variation orders, verifying subcontractor / suppliers claims

2) Responsible for the full suite of M&E Quantity Surveyor duties, from tender to pre-contract, post contract administration duties such as: review of contracts, quantity take-offs, preparing bills of quantities, sourcing and selecting of subcontractors, particularly for M&E disciplines

3) Review variation request order; assess the associated variation costs, monthly financial report; process of progress payment and final account

4) Work closely with the Project Team to provide cost and financial advice as well as contractual support and advice during pre-construction, construction and post construction stage.

5) Prepare budget and cost control monitoring to ensure the project cost is within the allocated budget

6) Prepare and analyze cost comparison

7) Prepare, evaluate, and recommend on the award of Sub-contractors

8) Preparation of Monthly Progress claims, variation orders and payments to subcontractors

9) Price negotiation with sub-contractors and suppliers

Qualification

1) Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying / Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of work experience as an M&E QS.

2) Proficient technical knowledge - measurement, cost estimation, contracts and law

3) Proficiency and competency in a project QS function and can work independently

4) Sound knowledge of pre- and post-contract duties

5) Possess excellent people skills with the ability to communicate with consultants, clients and vendors

• Work with enterprise sales teams to ensure Telstra Security services and solutions are positioned and architected for our strategic and emerging clients across Asia
• Provide technical consultation on Cyber Security opportunities and client initiatives.
• Prepare technical documents in response to requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP) and solution proposals.
• Act as a Cyber Security SME both within the Telstra Security team as well as the international organisation across Asia.
• Provide technical designs, implementation documents and coordinate key security vendors / partners and client technical stakeholders.

Pre-Sales

• Sales and target driven, help with technical proposals, work closely with Advisory consultants and Sales leads to define and develop compelling security value.
• Help bring together proposals and SOW owning the technical solution components
• Great communication skills with technical and business stakeholders to quickly understand the problems from customer and able to drive solutions for customers
• Solution design skills across a range of security products, solutions and services and the ability to clearly present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Efficiently scope and outline the solution proposals based on key requirements, and articulate the design rationale

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily maintenance tasks for Public Address System, Firemen Intercom, Card Access, CCTV System etc.
• Supports installation works
• Required to travel to different sites when necessary
• Required to be on standby for any ad-hoc jobs

Requirements:

• Diploma OR NITEC/Higher NITEC in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science
• Preferably 1 year relevant experience - however, candidates with no experience may apply too
• Able to work over-time when required
• Proactive, able to work independently and in a team
